So I have a question. Keatts didn’t recruit Markell. And Markell is quite talented and I don’t mean to take anything away from him. But do we think our offense changes at all with a PG that KK actually recruited?

disagree. I think people think about those guys and conflate early season games against shit teams with ACC play and against other decent teams. They don't get many open looks against good teams because we can't penetrate effectively which is our only real go-to.

Can anyone answer why we don't occasionally space the floor with DJ outside? It would certainly open up driving lanes and the guy can shoot 3s, but we never utilize him like that anymore?

Man something just feels off about this team. I’m not trying to be the guy that claims to know how to read body language and know what the team chemistry is like. But this recent stretch just seems really off. Keatts’ teams have lost plenty of games in the past but it seems like it always felt like effort was there. And the players were generally engaged. Seems like that’s been missing lately.

Maybe they just aren’t good. That’s definitely part of it. This team has pieces but isn’t a complete team. I don’t really like doing the thing where fans over analyze team chemistry or player psychology from afar. Because it seems dumb. But something just looks and feels off about this team.

i don't disagree. I am hopeful that next year Daniels and Hellems will step up as upperclassmen leaders to provide that kind of leadership/promote team chemistry because they are clearly the heart and soul of this team. That doesn't necessarily mean they'll be the best players on the team, but they can definitely set an example for the freshman with the intensity they play with (especially on defense.)

I agree. Can’t put my finger on it but we just don’t play with much intensity. I was 10 rows back from court side for this one and got the tickets for $11. They just seem to quit on plays, especially down low

I know our typical thing is to suck when we're supposed to be good and be decent when we're supposed to suck but I just don't see how we can do anything next season. The roster is going to be trash with the exception of Funderburke. So you're looking at Year 5 before we can do anything and realistically Year 6 when this incoming class is going to be juniors...rough
