I had the first 3 generation iPhones... but I was also smart enough to realize when their technology wasn't the forefront any longer, and open source was the way to go. there are numerous Android phones that are better in every way, hardware wise, than the iPhone. The only way anyone could make the argument that the iPhone is better is that they are more comfortable with the OS (which is really only a 1-2 day transition time). But that is them confusing their comfort level with the actual hardware/capabilities of the phone.


but I don't really care what people do- the iphone isn't a bad phone, just not the best phone.

i mean, i know how to use the ipod touch which would lead me to think i can use the iphone, but they limit too many things on the phone, and with a new one out each year like clockwork, i'd pass.

part of what makes the iphone a terrible product in my eyes is the company backing it and their policies with the damn thing. overpriced everything - phone, plans, accessories, insurance, apps (friend had to pay for angry birds that I got for free on droid) - plus to get phone/online customer support you have to pay what, $30?, before you can even talk to a rep, and then to replace a phone for like a dead battery you have to purchase a whole new one. despicable.

^yeah, I had an ipod touch over the summer and I felt like it was way too dumbed down. That's probably why it's such a good product to the general public though.

I just absolutely love my iphone4. I know that Ken switched to droid (Samsung Captivate) and couldn't stand it and now he has a Window's phone, which I think is rather boss hoss.

^^ i know apple customer support people though, and the "top guy" in tier 2 tech support isn't exactly the brightest guy i know.

also the tier 1 techs seem to compile the frequent questions and some of them will redirect you to their personal sites that you have to pay for
