well i dont think that looks good on that style of dress to shove the boobies up that high, because then you have where they are supposed to be just below it. Or maybe she just needs to pull it up... But I'm sure it will look better on you lol. 3/20/2011 2:29:31 PM |

she seems like she is wearing a size too small on top
i ordered a small after debating between the small and xs. but the bust measurements are what made me go for the S
i hope it doesn't squeeze my boobs. if it does, i'll just send it back haha 3/20/2011 2:35:08 PM |

maybe i'm just jealous cause you got boobs to squeeze haha
i got this at Kohl's. The back is crocheted, I like it. Too short for these dresses, but I like them anyway!

i LOVE maxi dresses and i am also too short for them
that is really cute!!! i might have to look there now. i wear them anyway even though i'm short. i love them. soooo comfy 3/20/2011 2:38:18 PM |

^ and ^^, I actually think maxi dresses look FAR cuter on short ladies than us avg/tall females. You might have to take the hem up an inch or two, but overall it's adorable!
I feel like a walking sack of fabric when I wear them 3/20/2011 5:41:03 PM |
khcadwal All American 35165 Posts user info edit post |
lol sack o fabric!
i bet you look great in them! tall people do look great even though it *IS* a lot of fabric lol.
it'd probably help if you got one that wasn't 100% cotton/jersey then it is less like a pile of fabric. or i mean...i'd think so anyway! i don't know since i cannot be tall and then tell you 3/20/2011 5:45:55 PM |

I hosted a baby shower yesterday and there was somebody at the party that makes tutus for toddlers
I really want to learn how to make tutus now. She had made a Wolfpack tutu that was so freakin adorable.
Doing a little googling and it seems like there is such a thing as a "no sew tutu". Has anybody ever made a tutu before? And does "no sew" really mean no sew (I own no sewing machine or needles)? 3/21/2011 2:26:40 PM |
DivaBaby19 Davidbaby19 45208 Posts user info edit post |
I would imagine it wouldn't be all too difficult. You just need elastic and material.
Plus the crinoline or whatever you call it can be cut and you don't have to worry about fraying which is a bonus. 3/21/2011 2:40:38 PM |

I make tutus and they are basically “no sew”. I take a 1/2" elastic and cut it to the length you want- which would be slightly smaller than the waist of who you want it to fit. For my toddler nieces I used a 15" piece of elastic. The only sewing is sewing the two ends of the elastic together to make a loop- although I have seen people stapling the ends together. Then I take stripes of toile and knot it around the elastic.
To make it even more so no sew instead of elastic use a ribbon but leave 10” tails that don’t have toile on them and tie it around the girls waist with a bow. 3/21/2011 4:20:56 PM |

^^^^ Zac Posen for Target right? I went to target to look at their re-released designer dresses and thought that one was beyond cute. I tried it on and it should have been illegal how short it was-and I have no problem with short dresses. It also was very low cut and I am not sure where I could have ever worn it. I am 5'6" though so you might have better luck. Also I normally wear a 0 at stores but had to try a 5 for it to fit over my chest haha.
I hope it works better for you because it is SO adorable.

I actually bought that dress today! I'm 5'8", and it wasn't short at all on me. I did have to go a couple sizes up... I normally wear a 6 and had to go with an 11 so it fit right in the chest. It'll be a really cute summer dress. 3/21/2011 9:17:02 PM |
