I think everyone who is honest already knows he's a racist, but I also think an aired recording of this incident would be pretty difficult to recover from, even for him. Why isn't this top priority? Not sure how most of the people who made this show can live with themselves given what has transpired in the intervening years.

I’m pretty sure Tom Arnold diid a whole movie or tv show about trying to find the tapes of him using the N word from the apprentice like 4 years ago. It might help move a few of the true undecided voters, or some of the 10 black people that voted for him if the tape came out, but as one guy I follow on twitter said, for his base, using the n word is a feature not a defect.

Maybe unpopular opinion, but I think judge merchan should give trump a lighter sentence because he’s a politician and make it clear that’s what he’s doing. Ultimately the laws are meant to serve democracy, democracy doesn’t exist to uphold laws. He should still be punished given he broke just laws, but his punishment should be lighter given almost 50% is the country still supports him. We have to reap what we sow.

The second linked article makes the point that people with connections to uncover or otherwise prove the truth can't stand idly by expecting that things will just work themselves out.

NBC really screwed over America. We got this stuff with The Apprentice that gave rise to Trump, and the two separate Tonight Show debacles where they sided with Jay Leno.

I will check out the Tom Arnold documentary. Too bad he obviously wasn't successful, but at least he tried.

Asians voted for bush in 2000, they don’t care about Christianity, but if the gop starts credibly being the low taxes no welfare party, they’ll drift back over

Democrats need to realign more, they have a good message for women, but maybe make climate change a broader environmentalism message would work

You know, the really stupid thing is that we have a lot of manufacturing companies starving for motivated blue-collar workers, and staffing challenges are nearly insurmountable. I work for one such company. It is truly challenging to make things in America and keep customers supplied when you don't have a stable work force. At the same time, we have hundreds of thousands to millions of people eager to come to this country and earn a better living and have a better future. A sensible immigration policy and guest worker program solves both problems and contributes to the long-term economic health of this country, but Congress is not doing ANYTHING, and the highest-profile GOP politicians are just trying to frame these people as invading monsters and use the ever-powerful fear of the other to gin up their hateful base. Manufacturers need help. Farmers need help.
