so i went dress shopping the other day as my family is having a big hoo ha this weekend for my grandma's birthday. I absolutely LOVE my dress and I'm not usually one for flowers but its so freaking pretty. and I found these adorable rocket dog pumps for like $25. EXCITING.

Oh god.. I told myself I wasn't going to buy ANYTHING for myself for the next few months since I have to pay for my MRI I'm getting today and my cap, gown, and sash for graduation (and all the coming expenses relating to that).. but I have been looking for these slip-ons EVERYWHERE and they were on RueLaLa today so I just did it:



It was so compulsive but at the same time I knew I'd regret letting them go. The sizes kept disappearing so I was like oh nooo.

Feather Extension update. Sorry I haven't taken pictures, every chance i have is right after the gym and i am sweaty. but easy to put in by yourself, although could have been easier with a friend. Very subtle, No one was like omg whats in your hair! they stay in, they do curl and you can flat iron them. Also no problem with washing your hair. So far i love it.

The place i got my feathers took forever so not happy she is sending me another one so I am going to put some more in. I have 6 in my hair right now.

Random question: Do you ladies do eyeliner on the upper and lower lids, or just one? I always thought both was normal and if not both then you'd do just the top, but I have come across a lot of people who only line the bottom. That seems really weird to me. But I suck at makeup stuff.

About 90% of the time I only line on the bottom and 9% both

The first time I noticed it, I was having a friend do my makeup for our friend's wedding and she lined the bottom and then stopped. I asked her if she was going to do the top and she said she never did on herself. After that I started noting I see a bunch of people who only do the bottom. Usually I always line the top, and I go about 50/50 with lining the bottom, but I don't go very heavy on the bottom anyway so there's not a ton of difference.

My pashminas are made up of a lot of fabric so I can't picture doing that without it looking very bulky

I really depends on your face, size and shape of your eyes and the desired effect you are going for. I took a few make-up classes at one point in time and learned that if you line your eye one way it opens your eyes making them appear larger, line them another way it closes them in appearing smaller. I've tried all three on mine, but I typically wear it on upper and lower lashes. I also only line to the mid way point on the lower lashes, not all the way across. All the way across closes my eyes in too much.

Similar question: Who of you wear mascara on both upper and lower lashes? I do, but I see many people who only wear it on the upper.

if i use eyeliner i only line the bottom and only the inner portion...not all the way across...probably similar to what you ^ are saying!!

I wish i could wear mascara and it not kill my eyes and come off super easy. I only wear it going out out, otherwise its a pain and hassle.

i only have one that seems to work....but luckily it's the one that matches all 3 dresses I would consider wearing it with...

I never wear eye makeup....I've worn eye liner like 3 times in my life...proms and brother's wedding.

I'm not a hater, though...but it looks absurd on me.

eye makeup is pretty much my go to in makeup land.

if i wear nothing else, i will put on a layer of mascara. just perks up eyes...opens them up. smokey eyes, eyeliner out to your temples, and raccoon eyes are not always necessary!!

i can't imagine not wearing eye makeup though. i wear tinted moisturizer, blush, eye shadow and mascara on the daily...but on weekends or times when i'm not going to work and just running errands etc, i just usually throw on the mascara.

that is just me though!

lately i've been lining the top with black and the bottom with white

but I've worn it all sorts of ways. usually if i line only the bottom, i line the waterline not under the lashes. that is just kinda...... weird to me

thank you all for the compliments you're so sweet! i wore the pink dress w belt out last night (in vegas for work) and it was the perfect balance of appropriate for being around work people but still feeling like my clothes were fun

divababy thanks for posting those spanks shorts. my thighs touch and dresses and skirts are annoying as fuck in the summer when you're pouring sweat all over i am def going to check those out!!

and on the eyeliner debate, i am an upper only but i cant get it to look right on my lower lid so i skip it

Don't do this. My corneas started warping all funny when I'd wear my contacts for too long day after day. I now only wear glasses so I don't fuck up my eyes even worse.
