Even if you give him the benefit of the doubt that he just means they won't have to (or be able to) vote for HIM again because he will have used up his two term limit, because he is selfish and probably doesn't give a shit who wins any election that he's not running in...it still doesn't sound good. They'll have it "fixed"?

It has obviously sinister undertones given everything trump had said. This is basically trump’s game. He says things that could plausibly mean something innocuous but obviously doesn’t in the full context. 7/29/2024 4:37:27 PM |

“I respect either one, but she obviously doesn’t, because she was Indian all the way, and then all of a sudden she made a turn and she went — she became a Black person,” he said. “I think somebody should look into that, too.” " |

You do realize what the stakes are for him, right? He went from thinking he had this entire election in the bag and picking freaking JD Vance as VP because his son told him he looked good for the cameras, to...potentially losing to a black female former prosecutor. He wins and he will do whatever he can to appoint himself as dictator; he loses and it's prison time.8/1/2024 10:24:33 AM |

Sure. That's a totally unbiased interpretation of that portion of the speech.
"You won't have to do it anymore".... sure, "it" means ""vote for him". Anyone with any simple common sense wouldn't interpret that to mean "You won't have to vote anymore". (even though that's exactly what it sounds like he's saying, but we all know he often says stuff that sounds like one thing, but simple common sense would explain that he actually means something else.)
But I'm having trouble with the unbiased interpretation of "It'll be fixed" and "It'll be fine". What is the unbiased interpretation of "It'll be fixed" mean? What will be fixed?

I'm sorry, this is so stupid. Nobody with any common sense would rationally think that's what he means. It really makes no sense. Of course he legally can't run again after serving two terms. Do you think that many of his voters are too stupid to realize that presidents can only serve to terms? And do you think he thinks that if they realize they won't be able to vote for him a third time in four more year, it would make them come out and vote for him now if they weren't planning to? I think you're being disingenuous. Either to us, or maybe to yourself?8/1/2024 3:40:32 PM |

He said, “They got a great deal. The Russians made a great deal. I’m not going to be criticizing it, because it’s good to have them home, but they got a phenomenal deal and that sets a very bad precedent. Very, very bad precedent.”
“The deal is very complex, because it just came out. So, nobody understands the deal yet,” Trump said, adding, “And they make it complex so you can’t understand how bad the deal is for us. But we got him back and we could have had him back. We should have had him back a long time ago. It should have never happened. It would have never happened. One time when he was rambling about "the late, great Hanibal Lecter" he mentioned that South American countries were closing all their insane asylums and sending their patients to America. But yeah, I kinda agree with this^. He just associated the two usages of the word, thought about Hanibal Lecter, and now he uses it as a go-to because he thinks his crowd loves it (and many probably do) 8/6/2024 12:27:19 PM |
