When white-daddy came to his house in America to tell him Walt's mom had died, black-daddy was all like, "Dude, you're much more of his father than I am. He doesn't even know me." White-daddy was like, "The kid freaks me out. Take him."

Quote :
"funny when the kid was talking about the bird and no one was listening so a dead one showed up at their door "

Not a dead one. A live one thwacked itself into the glass door and died.

The kid i completely unaware of what's going on, but when he has large emotional outbursts/experiences, whatever he is thinking of at the time comes true.
With the bird, he was very mad at white-daddy and mom for not paying attention to him - he was trying to talk about a bird.
With the 2nd polar bear, he was incredibly mad at his dad for throwing the comic into the fire and being an ass about Locke and being an ass in general - the last picture he saw was the bear.
Was there some catalyst for the 1st bear?

On a related note, did Walt have anything to do with the monster from the first two episodes? I don't recall seeing him "cause" it (by reading something like it in a book or anything), but I wasn't really paying attention.

Even if Walt has some kind of power that dosen't account for all the stuff thats happened, because he wasn't present or even aware of most of it.

Does this kinda remind you of Michael Crichton's book Sphere? (they did a movie as well). Children of the corn anyone?

^i'm guessing a little bit of both

i really liked how boone was like Locke Jr. this week

the island, which i thought would take on a very "Lord of teh Flies" feel has actually started taking on a more twisted Animal Farm resemblance
or at least some strong hints of such...

Well, we saw him reading the comic book with the picture of the bear well after the crash when he was just sitting on the beach. Maybe it was when he was arguing with his dad about the dog? Or when Locke brings the dog home? His emotional outbursts don't necessarily have to be mean/bad emotions, just strong.

I don't think anything is special about the kid. I think it is all coincidence. I still hold true to my theory posted on this page or the one previous.

Cause Locke helped him to open his eyes and realize that Shannon had been manipulating him all along and that he didn't actually care for her.

its a coincidence that they devoted a whole episode towards how freaky things happen when the kid is around...

why the reruns?

are they behind in production?

i was guessing these episodes had something important to do with the next ones that they thought we might have forgotten since it had been awhile...

A full order for a tv season is usually 22 episodes. When the tv year starts in September and runs until mid-May, there's something like 35 weeks. So that means sprinkled through the year, there are going to be somewhere between twelve and fourteen weeks without a new episode.

i would guess that by this:
Quote :
"So what was the preview of next week? I missed it."

and this:
Quote :
"1. pregnant girl is back

3. ethan tells charlie to bring him the pregnant girl or he'll kill an islander
4. they have a suitcase with a couple guns
5. jack chases ethan with a gun
6. jack loses gun
7. WLTB ethan gets gun
8. WLTB someone dies, WLTB it could be jack, but it will probably be some random islander we've never seen..."

that yes, a new episode tonight...

"You All Everybody"

are there any actually lyrics to the song?

its seems to be a really important song and probably has some sort of meaning other than it was Charlie's group's song

what does "you all everybody" mean anyway?

there's gotta be more to it...
