I like the idea of a separate house that stays clean and doesn't have exhaust fumes in it, but I'd be fine with a small ranch and a mega warehouse in the backyard.

I'm imagining boats that don't need to be covered, soft tops that never have to be put up, cars that stay clean and polished for months at a time, and plenty of space to work without feeling cramped. Oh, and a fucking lift. Fuck some jack stands and creepers. I'm getting too old for that. Oh yeah, liquor and a rope swing too.

speaking of houses/land/shops, I've been looking around recently for a home to buy.

1.65 acres... the backyard extends way, way back past the detached workshop and fire pit. you can't see the house from the back of the property. Both neighbors have a number of cars in their back yards

Unfortunately i think i'm probably going to look at something a little less expensive for the sake of practicality. I'm definitely looking for one with a shop or basement of some sort for the composite toy shop, and plenty of room for a large garden is a must.

I think this guy has been trying to sell this car for about a year now. I think he started it off at $4000 or something ridiculous. If it really is as tight as he was claiming in his earlier ads $2k isn't bad. $1600 would be a pretty good price IMO though. FWIW, I sold one with similar mileage, a salvage title, leaking sunroof, and dry rotted tires for $1600 earlier this year. High miles obviously, but the M42 is a hell of an engine and parts are abundant for these cars.
