back when i played youth Hockey, you got a 10:00 minute major and a 2:00 minor for doing something like that. if you injured them you get tossed.

checking from behind is something that you never do. the general rule is if you can see the numbers on the back of the jersey, don't do it. i think some college player, i want to say from Michigan State, got hit like that, and ended up being paralysed.
