i saw trevor ferguson last night with some guy who may or may not have been tracy smith at taco bell. and they were mumbling about some game coming up next year and ?tracy smith? said something like "yeah, if i qualify." is it possible that tracy smith was eating taco bell with trevor ferguson last night? i mean, he's still in high school right?

i don't know for sure it was tracy smith. but they were talking about basketball (like both of them played) i didn't recognize the black guy. and the black guy said something to the effect of "yeah if i qualify" when ferguson was talking about some game to be played next season.

well it was definitely ferguson. and i'd put money that the other guy was/will be an ncsu b-ball player. degand makes sense. and i didn't know what he looked like either. i didn't even really process that he was also probably a player until the remark about qualifying (and that was as they were leaving and walking by me). so i don't remember his face horribly well.

no, the signing period started yesterday. i have pp premium and the only thing they're saying is that javi gonzalez is having his mom (who lives in puerto rico) sign it and fax it to him so that he can sign it and fax it to us (says it should be done this week). no mention of smith.

Spring signing period started yesterday, but Tracy Smith indicated within the last week he plans to sign with us on the first two days of spring signing period. It is a bit surprising to not have heard anything, but is by no means alarming.

If it was Degand, then maybe he was talking about continuing to keep his grades up. Someone said on here or PP though that Degand seemed pretty smart and went to a Math and Science type school in Boston. If it was Smith then maybe he meant provided he doesn't tank his final semester of high school. I think we should just leave it alone. Smith posted something like an 1100 SAT score, but hell If I had a full ride to play ball I'd retake the SAT and try to score a 1600 if there was a 0.00001% chance that the admissions committee wouldn't qualify me or make me take remedial courses due to some descrepancy with my high school.

i think they only had the 2400 scale for like 1 year, then it got nixed IIRC. i may be wrong, but i remember my little brother got hosed by it.

-Still no LOI , not to mention nothing at all about T. Smith in awhile.
-Lowe's obvious interest in getting Beasley over here this year.
