Jones Drew only saw action yesterday because the Jags wanted to control the ball against the Colts and they are limiting Taylor to 20 carries a game. I wouldn't expect him to see that much playing time in most games.

Also Toefield was inactive Sun and he is the normal #2

[Edited on September 25, 2006 at 5:27 PM. Reason : Although he may be worth a bench spot considering Taylor's injury history]

FYI, the Madden curse has struck again....

Shaun Alexander is out with a broken bone in his foot. Sucks for the keepers.

Yeah it's on ESPN news.

I'm up by 11 with Vick left to play, I'm considering benching him to assure myself a victory.

It's on now. They're predicting he'll be out 4-6 weeks. Gonna miss 3-4 games.

Somebody pick up Maurice Morris.

Seahawks running back Shaun Alexander is out indefinitely with a small cracked bone in his foot, according to ESPN. He originally suffered the injury in a week one win over the Lions, but it is not known if he re-injured it on Sunday.

This injury was originally described as a sore foot, but it is now clear that wasn't the case. There is no replacing Alexander in your lineup, but one of the first moves you should make is to pick up Maurice Morris, who will be the starter for the Seahawks. The loss of Alexander is bad news for the entire offense, but may lead to more passing attempts for Matt Hasselbeck, who is fresh off a five-touchdown performance. Once we find out the exact length of Alexander's absence, we'll let you know.

....and I just picked up Morris off of waivers.

bye bye ben watson, hello mo morris

(didn't want to drop watson, slow start for the big guy but he'll put up numbers sooner or later... i have crumpler though and would likely start crump over watson every week.)

my two RB's for next week (as of right now) are:
T. Jones (vs SEA)
M. Morris (vs CHI)

Should I start:
Travis Henry (vs ?) or DeAngelo Williams (vs SD) for one or both instead?

I would stick to the current guys. Jones played every offensive snap for Chicago and Morris will likely do the same, assuming Seattle doesn't go 5WR for most of the game.

Question:

Culpepper is currently my starting quarterback, and Big Ben is my backup.

David Carr is still available for pickup in my league.

Should I pickup David Carr and drop Big Ben?

Or should I wait it out another week to see if Big Ben produces better?

The rookie from TB might be a good pickup if you're desperate for a QB. Those MAC QB's end up decent. Gradkowski? or something? He'll be decent.

I need to pick up a defense for this coming week. I'm thinking StLouis (vs. Det). Whom should I drop....a banged up Brandon Stokley, Jerricho Cotchery or Tampa Bay defense?

you are in a corny ass league Panthro for a "guru".

You cant pick someone off "waivers" on a Monday night.

Seattle players should be locked and the player should have to go through waivers.

If you can just pick up any player right now that isn't what waivers means.

That means you have free agency.

Look up the definition of waivers and then get back to me.

I'd hate to have Dunn's job. Most of the time, he's the reason why Atlanta is in the red zone but once they get there, it's always Vick or a fullback or Crumpler that scores. Never Dunn. He does all the dirty work and the glory is for someone else. That's gotta suck.

^ He has been getting tons of praise from the analysts this season, so its not like all the glory is lost

It's not like he's the Denver or KC O-Line, who can make anyone an incredible running back.

Thinking about trying to get Willis for Vick.

I had warner too :-(. Problem is I don't really have trade bait since most of my team is waiver wire. TO, dunn, and parker are my best players. I'm 3-0 and have the most scoring, though!

I hope people traded alexander yesterday when rallydurham told them to.

Went 2-2 again this week. I'm still expecting better in the future.

Facetious Ferrets 3-0 (115-84) Fuck you, Madden curse. I'm still going undefeated.
Unstable Isotopes 1-2 (48-55) Seven offensive players, one touchdown. Four on the bench.
Tropically Depressed 1-2 (178.54-252.20) Larry's back next week.
Ravaging Storms 1-2 (100-96) Glad to get the win. Missed the optimal lineup by 42 points.

Indianapolis plays the Jets in week 4.

My opponent has Peyton Manning, Dallas Clark, D. Rhodes, and Vinatieri. Basically, the Jets need to injure peyton manning.

What about this feat of daring:

Starting Dunn and Norwood against Arizona. Game is at Atlanta, Lionheart should be starting, John Abraham might be back. It should be a blowout and garbage time for Norwood.

Only other decent prospects left on waivers is the Tenn running backs. Not sure who will start -- brown or henry. Parker and Dunn are my only 2 RBs. We get return points (1 for 40), so that is another route (Kenny Watson -- cin).

I'm recalling the "guru's" expert status on account of the fact that he plays in a league that doesn't have waivers.

In order to be a "guru" you can't play by chick rules.

Big Ben has never done shit consistently in terms of fantasy value. I don't know why people think he is a good QB for fantasy teams. Carr will not put up huge stats, but he's out produced Ben the last two weeks and has been limiting his TOs this year so I would give him a shot if Ben and Carr are your only options. Carr has Andre Johnson and Houston is always down by 20 so he gets a chance to pass 30 times a game.

should i drop brad johnson for brett favre?

actually, I like Favre's maychup much more than Johnson's.

Buffalo has no Run defense, but they do have some great you secondary talent.

Chester Taylor will get 30+ carries in this one, and I dont see Johnson getting more than 1 TD.

Favre on the other hand is playing in Prime Time @ Philly, who has a depleted secondary to the point where both corners and a safety may be out for the game this weekend.

I was against Favre earlier, but you have to ride this wave while its there.

Go with Favre. If you are thin at WR or are in a deep league, see if G. Jennings is still available. He will either get 100 yards or a TD, possibly both this weekend.

droughns was out last week but is due to play this week against a soft oakland defense

should i stick with him for the next few weeks or try to make a trade for him

K, hope someone can help me out a bit on who I should start.

--starters--
Culpepper vs Hou
Ro. Williams vs Stl
K. Johnson vs No
T. Owens vs Ten
W. Dunn vs Ari
C. Portis vs Jac

--Bench--
Rivers vs Bal
B. Berrian vs Sea
J. Cotchery vs Ind
D. Rhodes vs NYJ
M. Morris vs Chi

I was thinking about dropping Culpepper and picking up either Leinart or Carr. What do you guys think?
