So mastodon put out a track. I must say i'm not sure if i dislike the vocals or not yet. The keyboard player is unnoticeable except maybe in the intro.

New Lamb of God. So far it sounds inbetween their last two albums which is good. Because sacrament sucked and the one before it is good. There are blast beats. I hate to say it because i hold blast beats so dear to my soul, but they're becoming cliche. If i hear Blast Beats on the next lil wayne cd i'm gonna be pissed.

Obscura put out an album.

Who the fuck is obscura? oh, its Necrophagist without Muhammed because he kicks out band members every album. So far its like Necrophagist with shittier song writing. On the other hand they're all incredible musicians, especially Hannes Grossmannnnnnnnnn

i'm not sure how much i dig the vocals on that mastodon track either.

i've only heard one song off the new lamb of god (contractor), and i enjoyed it very much. sounded a lot like ashes of the wake stuff, but i could hear the mix w/ sacrament that BB(^^^) was talking about. i like sacrament though.

that subgenre is so vague and that term gets tossed around referring to a lot of bands that sound nothing alike. I think it would be more useful if you listed some bands you liked and wanted similar sounding bands to listen to.

I wasnt listing all bands that sounded the same, his go-by post didnt even list bands that all sound the exact same. I was listing bands that people tend to like that also enjoy the list he provided as well as bands that I have heard people call "deathcore." I enjoy some I listed, I dont enjoy others, and I've played shows with all of them multiple times except aborted so I know they dont all sound the same
