As a Cub fan I hope this happens. Lee is a good guy and still decent, but we need to regroup, big time. 8/18/2010 2:17:36 PM |

I like Lee, but he is injured a lot. I'm not sure this is the best move, but hopefully it will work out for the best.
Hudson is going tonight against the Nats. SF has Cain going against the Phillies tonight, this is a good opportunity to add another game to our lead. 8/18/2010 2:47:06 PM |

I don't see the incentive for the Cubs unless they are getting some decent minor leaguers in return. They would be better off holding on to Lee and getting the supplemental pick. Unless the Cubs don't want to pay two more months of Lee's salary which makes no sense especially for a team like the Cubs that isn't hard up for money. 8/18/2010 2:48:00 PM |

Cubs just want to dump his salary. He's owed $3m+ this season, that's a lot of salary to take on for the Braves if he's not healthy. But if he is, there's little downside for either team. 8/18/2010 3:47:05 PM |

Cubs presser coming up per MLBN

Mark Bowman:

haha someone suggested this here recently
Quote : | "Chicago gets right-hander Robinson Lopez, right-hander Tyrelle Harris and left-hander Jeffrey Lorick according to the Cubs, who will send the Braves money in the deal." |
Not bad

These MASN announcers sure know how to bitch.
LOL now they are bringing up Bobby coming out of the dugout and getting the called changed last night, when that was an obvious call last night. Fucking ridiculous
V yeah maybe it was a quick trigger, but every game I've watched the Braves play on MASN they have something to say about the umps not calling strikes and favoring the Braves

I'm still not following, though
A list of "every 2010 Braves walk-off and last AB win": http://bleacherreport.com/articles/418806-every-2010-atlanta-braves-walk-off-and-last-ab-win-wvideo-links#page/2
Including 8/10 @ Houston
Braves hit two homers in the top of the ninth to take the lead, 4-2. Their last AB of the inning was Melky grounding out. I guess we're talking about last inning at the plate for the team, not the last recorded at bat for a player. Never picked up on that.
Slave, go be petty in your third-place thread.

I'm for it to. He's not very consistent (hence the 11-11 record). I understand we don't always give him the best run support, but to me Hanson or JJ are pitching more like our #2.
