Those are two brutal last minute back to back losses at C-F for FSU. Both potentially costing them shots at the ACC title (although i think they still get in this year)

If anyone made that trip both years I can't imagine they'd come back a third time in a row.

I think the difference is that for the touchdown, the offensive player had completely relaxed while back on the ground then the defender takes two steps and levels him. If he's not in the endzone and the ball is dropped you could argue its a catch and fumble. For the out of bounds case, the receiver is in the air with the defender pushing him to the ground. Even if he's fully in-bounds across the middle of the field you could argue that it was incomplete.
