In April I tried to kill myself by ODing on pills(I took 200mg of clonazepam). I ended up in the ICU for a few days and then went into a normal hospital room for a day and then I was transfered to the psych ward. For some strange reason they decided to take me off of almost all my meds at once and cold turkey. I hated it there and wasn't really in a good state of mind so I convinced them that I felt better enough to go home. About a week and a half after I got out I became really suicidal again and got my gf to take me back to the hospital. I was there for two weeks. While I was there I started doing shock therapy. I had 8 treatments. It fucking sucked. It did really cure my depression and anxiety. About a month after I stopped the treatments I started feeling depressed again so I went back for 5 more. It's been 6 weeks since I stopped the second time and I feel great. I am taking only two medications now and neither of them make me feel like a zombie. I am still a little out of it from the shocks to the brain but they say I'll be totally back to normal within 6 months. No I just have to pick the pieces of my life back up and try to put them back together. "

I really hope that it sticks. Mental illness is difficult and tricky. Finding what works for you is relaly hard and you just have to hang in there. *hugs*
