i'm not a tourney expert, but maybe you ought to make your 3bets a bit larger than you did in those last 2 hands you posted. don't know if it would have changed any outcomes though.

Good comments.

In both hands I was pretty much baiting the original raiser to go all-in. I would have made a bigger bet had I not thought each guy would 3 bet all-in.

Also, had I bet too large with AA I wouldn't have been able to bet again after the all-in.

somewhat serious poker thread question here... non-strategy related.

When I was still in school, I put maybe 20 bucks into bodog and was able to cash out maybe 100 a week just playing low stakes SNGs and the occasional MTT. The money wasn't essential to survival or anything, but it enabled me to go out and do stuff that I otherwise would have been able to afford like dates, drinks etc. I was responsible with my eCash and with my play, and considered myself a good player who was capable of being a very good player. Well, I took a break from poker to work hard on graduating and getting a job. Now, with a nice salary coming in, playing the same stakes that i used to play, I suck shit. Well, I still have good results on the tables but when I take even a minor loss or get drawn out on I go on mega tilt and try my best to blow through my whole roll(which isnt much, <100 bucks, but it suits my stakes). I just want to be able to play for a 50-100 cashout per week like I used to. Any tips from anyone who experienced something like this? I assume it has something to do with me having a real income that makes my poker money seem like doodoo in the grand scheme, but I wanted to be able to put this cash towards bills or taking the fiance out, I just cannot maintain like I used to.

Well, in terms of online play, I've heard from people that play regularly as a good source of profit and so forth that the games are generally harder than they were a few years ago and back...

It makes sense, because I think the people in it for the "fad" are dissolving so you have a lot more people that are serious about the game playing these days; 'a lot more' relatively that is...

What sucks for me is I can't find any good live games with any of my friends like I probably could have a few years ago. I'm going to play some limit 7 stud in a few days, just because I wanna play some cards and enjoy it as an alternative to drinking myself silly or generally just screwing off and not doing something that requires thinking...LOL it's gonna be fun. Never played stud before EVAR.
