had a bizarre dream last night that we played Seton Hall in Reynolds Coliseum and it was absolute pandemonium. it was 47-47 at halftime and CJL scored all 47. i got to sit on the floor. it was joyous.
(why seton hall, i have NO idea)

Zagsblog post about Tyler Harris. Not much other than the usual great time and fun at game comments.
Quote : | "As for N.C. State, Torrel Harris, Tyler’s dad, said it went well.
“The N.C. State official visit was great,” Torrel said. “We had some good conversations with head coach Sidney Lowe, Larry Harris, Monte Towe and Pete Strickland about the direction the program is headed. Tyler and I were very impresssed with all the experience of the coachees and staff members.
“We met with director of academics Carrie Legger, who discussed every aspect of the academics and their dedication to help the student athletes graduate.
“We watched the team practice for one hour and Tyler was able to see how his style of play would fit into their offense and the things that Coach Lowe demands from his players. We attended the football game against Virginia Tech, which was a thrilling game.
“He spent some quality time with the players on the team both Friday and Saturday. He thought the players were cool and he got along with them well.”" |

Pretty much the entire team had BBQ catered to them on the East side of the RBC on Saturday. After they finished up, they all tailgated and played cornhole with all the fans in that area. Harris definitely seemed to be having a good time. 10/5/2010 6:50:10 PM |

Former Texas commit DeAndre Daniels will be at the Red Rally on October 15th. 10/5/2010 9:21:04 PM |
aph319 All American 8570 Posts user info edit post |
Are they still talking about him reclassifying to 2010?
Also the Red Rally better have every State fan in the area show up. We need to show how much support we have for this team. Last year's was a little underwhelming. Then take that compared to Kentucky's midnight madness the same year (I know it's apples and oranges but it shouldn't be) and it easy to see why recruits would want to be part of that program (less the corruption, of course).
Anyways, please show up. If anything, you'll get to see Vandy dunk for the first time in a year. He can really throw it down, too. 10/5/2010 10:04:30 PM |

Quote : | "NC State is back on the list for sophomore guard Rodney Purvis of nearby Raleigh Upper Room Christian Academy. The Wolfpack recruiting relationship with Purvis goes back to his eighth-grade year. He attended a lot of NC State basketball and football games last year. He didn’t attend Wolfpack sporting events last year while concentrating on his own season, and he didn’t have transportation at times.
Purvis has been public with his recruitment on Twitter, and made it known that he wanted the Wolfpack to recruit him, his “hometown” school. NCSU assistant coach Pete Strickland was scheduled to see Purvis on Thursday, but coach Sidney Lowe made a surprise appearance at Upper Room.
The showing paid off and Purvis told The Wolfpacker that NC State was back in the mix, but no scholarship offer yet. Several sources say that if the Wolfpack make a serious run at Purvis, they’ll get a fair shake. Since he’s local, the staff won’t have to go too much out of their way to “show the love.” NC State faced longer odds after C.J. Leslie decommitted, but patience won out in that recruitment.
NC State will be tipping its hand if they come to his games this year at Upper Room (coached by former Wolfpack player Avie Lester), and then same with Purvis, if he comes to some of the NC State home games." |

I just noticed on our scout page we have Antonin Galaya (3 star) and Kofi Mensa (2 star) listed as prospects for this years class shown but neither have offers. Are we possibly going to add them to this years class?
It looks so damn good to see three 5-star recruits on our page
back in 2004 and 2005 we had one 5-star and two 4-star recruits (Simmons, Brackman and Grant & Costner, Fells, McCauley). They panned out pretty well for us. LOL at 2-star Mike O'Donnell as our only recruit in 2003

Any other sophomoric recruiting analysis you'd like to grace us with? I don't know how you could possibly think that Grant, Costner, Fells and McCauley "panned out pretty well for us", they barely played in Herb's last season and didn't do shit for us when Lowe was coach.10/6/2010 4:25:50 PM |

They had ONE good year, and even that year we only went to the NIT. After the 06-07 season they were a bunch of entitled malcontents who did as much to hurt the team as to help it. You can continue sucking off some dudes who rarely gave 100% and didn't win a thing if you want but I'm not whitewashing their flaws out of some misguided sense of loyalty. 10/6/2010 8:19:14 PM |

Mike O'Donnell's signature move was his feet on defense. It was entertaining enough just to watch him look like he had just chugged 10 coffee's right before the game. Dude had enough energy for 3 players.
The "Grant, Costner, Fells and McCauley" group underachieved so badly, it's hard for me to agree that they "panned out pretty well for us". The only good memories I have of them are:
1) Beating Duke in the ACC tournament 2) Beating UNC at home 10/7/2010 9:25:31 AM |
