the haitian could always talk. he talked to claire's dad but we just didn't hear anything. maybe when he uses his power [which is when we see him] he just doesn't need to talk.

wow, i've become very impressed with this show over time. at first i couldn't get into it. now, i have to say it is one of the best shows currently running. the writing is spectacular. every week they set the story up to go in many directions and each subsequent episode seems to take it in a direction you weren't expecting. if they can keep it up, there will be no limit to how far the series can go.

the Haitian wasn't with him when he went to talk to sylar through the glass and sylar wasn't able to pull him through the glass like he did with eden

and i could have been mistaken because the light switch is directly to the right of the glass pane but it looked like mr. bennett turned off the light automagically somehow without using the switch

^the haitian has a block on abilities. he doesn't have to be right there, i think he just needs to be int he general vicinity, like within 20-30 feet or so. He was outside the door when mr. bennet was in with Sylar.


so somehow peter absorbs the radioactive guys powers and then blows up. I dont' understand though why nathan was the only one not running????

I got a total Captain Planet vibe when Peter was surrounded by all the other heroes in the dream.

You can draw alot of parallels between Peter and Sylar, more specifically their powers. Sylar can devour powers and Peter can absorb them. They both have the drive to be something special. The only difference is Sylar is bat-shit crazy.

Ok, so after this episode I was fairly sure that Bennet had the ability to block powers, and the Haitian had the ability to erase your memory(also messed Sylar up enough that with the blood loss he was capturable).

However, 93formula insisting that the Haitian has both powers got me thinking...

It doesn't show the Haitian in every scene where power blocking is evident(visits to Sylar, interrogation room etc). But it does make a point to show that the Haitian is at the PD, but I'm not convinced he has the long-range power blocking. The writers obviously want us to think that Bennet has that power, due to the placement of him in between the cop and his daughter. Also Bennet has been strongly hinting to everyone else (Eden comes to mind) that he is the one with the blocking power.



I didn't catch the watch/Sylars clothes thing at the end, but Im thinking the brother was racing toward the bomb in order to grab him and fly away from the city.

I dont think there is anyone that we know for a fact has multiple powers (aside from Sylar).
Nikki/Jessica - super strength/possession of body
Haitian/Bennet - Mind erase/power blocking
Peter/Indian boy - copy abilities/weird-ass-dreams

to me it seemed like peter's brother was coming after him, so in anger to stop his brother he blew himself up (possibly because he couldn't control the power he just gained.

also, in his vision you can see his brother won the election... that probably has a lot to do with it. like peter finding out his brother is evil and trying to stop him

That's an interesting idea but why would certain characters try to help Sylar? The black lady runs towards Peter in the dream until Isaac stops her and Claire comes up to him and says "I'm sorry."

I'm curious why Eden's power of persuasion didn't work on Sylar. She obviously expected it to. Sylar also said "you know that won't hurt me" when Eden had the gun pointed at him. He's obviously not indestructible since he was going after Claire's power so that was an interesting statement.

the secret being that he's not going to erase her memory...she just needs to act like its been erased around dad. i think him and eden both agreed sylar had to go...eden was going to kill sylar behind mr bennet's back, and haitian didn't have the heart to erase minds anymore--especially claire's for some reason.

It has to be the Haitian that blocks the power and puts people to sleep because he was with Eden to capture Sylar.

However I was thinking...Sylar might have known that they were after him and was waiting to get captured eventually to get Eden's power if not others. That's why he didn't break the glass until Eden was alone. He was in no threat and was waiting for the opportunity. He is pretty powerful.

Yeah i'm a bit torn about some of this stuff as well.

Not everyone in Peter's dream had powers, cause Mohinder was in the cab as well (unless HE also has a power we don't know about yet)

It did look like Peter was wearing Sylar's clothes, but I have no idea why people would be interacting with him like they did.

If peter had absorbed radioactive man's powers, why wasn't he in the dream? Shouldn't we have at least seen him?

It looks like it was a self sacrifice, because only the girls were trying to stop him from whatever he was doing, and the guys acted like they knew it had to be done.

I'm not sure about Bennet being able to block powers, but with his extensive knowledge of superpowers in general, he may just be wearing a device. You've noticed that he has to leave the room for the hatian to be able to erase memories.

Big bummer on Eden dying. I was really starting to like her. I have no idea how Sylar resisted her.

About Peter's dreams...where are these coming from? I don't understand how he keeps dreaming about the future when he's not around Issac or Hiro. Perhaps the dream about Nathan turning into Sylar says that they will join forces?

I am going into left field here but, it is possible that the dreams that Peter is having are a part of the powers Issac's girlfriend has but haven't been revealed yet. Since Peter has been close to her it is possible he has absorbed her abilities and they are waiting to reveal her powers as some type of twist on down the line. It could explain her presence in the dreams and her role in future episodes.

So, after reading this page there are some good theories about whats going on..here's what I think about the whole peter/syler blowing things up scenario

might be a long shot but, maybe sylar gets to radioactive man and consumes his powers, then shows up in nyc at the same time as Peter, who cant control his powers - he just absorbs other hero's powers automatically and cant stop or contain them - causing Peter to blow up the city. So maybe the whole view of Peter in Sylar's clothes symbolizes Sylar working through Peter to blow up NYC.
