Dude.

The new of Montreal song Coquet Coquette.

Is pretty awesome.

It's like, a fucking rock song.

I hated Skeletal Lamping mostly.

Come on, VB. You're better than that. It's vice versa, Jason Schwartzman sounds like him.

And yeah, I kinda like the new of Montreal song. Not bad.

billy corgan released another song for the new smashing pumpkins album, entitled "freak." surprisingly enough, it's actually not terrible like the other poop he's put out over the last few months. it doesn't seem as if he recorded it with his voice front and center like he did with some of the other new songs, which is part of what makes them shit. i wouldn't say he ever had a particularly good voice, but it sounded really nice at times in the past when produced properly. i think the lyrics in "freak" are kinda , but i'm a little more interested in seeing how the next few songs on this album turn out.

Can we talk about the M.I.A. album?

I don't really care for it, but I'm sure some hack/rapper will make a 'remix' of XXXO or Lovalot by having their producer reorganize the beat and a vocal track of them talking about how badass they are.

The George Clinton track "Fo Yo Sorrows" on Big Boi's album is great.

Between that and "Synthesizer", they have teamed up for some epic tracks.

i know this sounds like a typical hipster complaint, but i think i dig Best Coast when it's a little more lo-fi then this album turned out

only because the newer stuff reminds me too much of She & Him

i think the fidelity is okay

but the lead vocal is mixed a little too high

funny thing is it reminds me a lot of liz phair

which is someone i've never associated with BC

So does anyone have any tips for staying in good standing on what.cd? i talked briefly with Ernie regarding this, but it seems like it's really hard to seed and maintain a decent ratio on here.

I'm not required any type of ratio until 5GB d/l. Should I not worry about it until I get close to that, or should i try to get ahead early? And that's the next thing, i rarely upload original material...most everything I listen to is already on what and seeded ten fold before i ever get around to it. I've gotten quite a few albums, some obscure but some new and popular and none of them have had any upload activity from my end since. Maybe i'm missing something, or worrying about it too much.

Like I said, they've made ridiculously easy now. Under the old rules it probably took me a year to get any sort of decent ratio. Still, though, when you're only seeding a dozen or so torrents, you just have to be patient.

Make sure you read through the rules and the wiki at least briefly and that you're connectable, etc.

Best advice: wait until a freeleach, go crazy.

Man, this MIA album sucks.
