i think i've officially been ghosted by one that i was interested in. i can laugh it off, it's just funny to me. she did everything possible on the site to signify interest, then shared a handful of emails that i thought went really well and now nothing.

If you read back on last page I said exactly what Minka said and pretty much all the girls I went out with agreed thats basically what happens. Most girls dont wanna seem like a bitch so with online dating its easiest for them to just stop responding once they either decide they arent interested anymore or they meet someone they like better.

I was contacted by a girl, we exchanged messages for a week or so. Then I left town for a weekend, but told her I'd like to meet up for a drink when I got back. She said she'd like that and to get in touch with her when I returned.

So when I got back I sent a message asking when she'd be free, and now it's been over a week and I haven't heard anything back.

I don't know if I should message her again? We found out we have a lot of mutual friends and I'm pretty sure I'm going to be at the same party as her Friday night. Not sure how to handle that without it being awkward if she's no longer interested.

she cant back out and not message you back in that scenario.

just walk to up to her and say you want an honest answer...what happened? If she is still interested...BOOM you have a perfect opportunity to continue in real life versus online.

I think its a win for you...if shes not interested then at least you find out face to face and can bone some other chick there. preferably a friend of hers.

I don't know if some girls mismanage their inbox or just get that many msges, but I've had this happen and received an apology after sending a follow up email and ended up meeting said individuals in person. I try to exchanges #s asap to avoid this bs.

^i have to keep remembering that some of these girls are getting dozens of messages from guys a lot more forward than I am. but i don't believe that they just forget to email or lose track of you. they just decide to ghost. but i'm not going to pull the "what happened" follow up message.

well i went with a girlfriend, who ended up bringing a date (to a singles event...makes sense right?) so it was kind of awkward. i think if her date would not have been there we would have had an easier time "mingling". plus we got there late so a lot of people had kind of "paired up". it was interesting to just observe though. lots of normal looking people and a few weirdos.
