we are trying to rush the game against an experienced team and getting clowned on for it...coaching would say to slow the game down and not take ill-advised shots

Really missed that post up game. not polished enough on the outside like georgetown to get most of our points from there.

Then from about the 11 min mark, the underclassmen panicked and stopped running offense. We had plenty of time. As a result, that gave GT easy points.

We can play with them, but just can't panic.

well this game will be great for us either way. mostly as a teaching tool to show how we can overcome youth and play well (1st half) and also how we can/do let our youth get to us (2nd half). and it's given the team some real competition and the young ones some good PT.

On the bright side, Georgetown will be one of the better programs in the Big East again. They are a talented team that is far more mature/experienced than we are, and this is our first quality opponent. I hope the guys are a little bit more ready for Syracuse and Wisconsin, take care of business against the other teams, and hopefully be ready to beat Arizona and build momentum as we continue to grow as a team leading to the ACC. Honestly we are the clear underdogs in this game (and the other two) even if we had Tracy.

dang, this one just kind of got out of hand. As someone said, they all tried to be the heroes. When they were ahead, they played as a team, when they were behind, they played as individuals. Oh well.

Great first half just a scoring drought in the 2nd and guys didn't appear to know how to handle it. Good learning game against a good opponent. As they said its not how you start it's how you finish the season I fully expected a few early losses due to lack of experience but I'm still excited for this team despite the loss

I really hope some of you aren't dumb enough to honestly think Sid is telling them to play this stupid. A game like this was going to happen....better it happens now. The kids came in thinking they were hot shit and got their asses handed to them by an experienced, ranked team. They will now come back to reality and be ready to listen to coach.
