I worry about UNC starting to gain confidence. They can't be great because they have no inside game and Paige just isn't athletic enough to be a difference maker...but their skill guys (Bullock, Hairston, Macadoo, Johnson) are still good enough to win plenty of games and get hot to take down better teams (like us and Duke).

They always shut down Wood...so we should punish them in the paint and have Brown take it to Paige all game. As I get older, I get better about how State games effect me. But I'll be absolutely sick if we lose to them this year.

UNC will, as usual, have a stellar game or two against us; no doubt about it. They're going to play well down the stretch, get an overrated seeding in the tournament, and crap out in the 32 round to some George Mason-esque team. This UNC team totally reminds me of the 05-06 team.

NC State should pull an Alabama and start saving cash like a motherfucker for that guy. We have the fanbase to make it work. Unlike the other schools down the road, most of our students care. Getting the Duke/UNC caliber fans after the fact, it would be sick.

Part of me thinks he wants to build Butler into this storied program, and that's in his own right. And I hope he comes nowhere near the ACC, but Duke I'd say is the frontrunner in all this mess with that guy. I think we need to focus on Shaka Smart and be done with it.

isn't his contract through like 2023 or something? I remember hearing an interview in which he said he and his wife had no plans of ever leaving butler. But we'll see in like 7-8 years maybe. He should stay, you know they all love him and he's probably going to get paid out the wazoo pretty soon.
