Generally speaking, I'm not a fan of switching out QBs all the time. I didn't really have an issue when we'd plug in Shirreffs every now and then for designed QB runs, but swapping out Mitchell and Thomas doesn't seem to help either of them maintain any semblance of rhythm. Give a guy multiple series' in a row, even if they're off on a few passes.

And you should pretty much never go for it on 4th down in your own territory, unless its 4th and 1 from your own 49 or it's late in the 4th quarter and you're down multiple scores.

Also, theres no way Jaybee is gone for good. He's probably just hibernating for the winter.

Look, Jibbly may be a jackass that likes to insert UT talk for no reason, but come on guys, what do we have to brag about as a program, ever?

And don't act like we didn't jizz our pants when Amato won 11 games with that crazy 14 game schedule that year. The collective orgasm over him whipping out his shades at the freaking PARADE to celebrate 11-3...ugh. We're all battered women coming back to an abusive husband over and over again to get the shit kicked out of us.

we should just celebrate what comes out of the program, not the program itself, right?

WOW SMART OBSERVATION. I MEAN, I THOUGHT SAYING IT WAS 13 GAMES PLUS BOWL WAS TEDIOUS, BUT THANKS FOR POINTING THAT OUT.

Doesn't Jaybee live in Atlanta? If you want to meet me here in Raleigh, we can settle this theory that I'm an alias once and for all.

Like I said, I re-registered because my old name was with a ncsu.edu address and I couldn't recover the password.

Making me dread watching games -10 credibility
Hope the redshirt QB from Florida can actually throw the ball next year unlike our current Qb's to see how he can do.

I can't be but so mad at him. He was left with the worst QB situation state has had since I've been alive. But still, he needs to get his shit together asap.

hate on me for this if you want but the worst feeling I get from everything so far is that I think TOB would have yielded better results thus far.

Not saying we'd go to a bowl or anything special, and TOB definitely needed to go, but I think we would have had better chances at these games.

TOB is definitely a better X/O coach and I have no doubt he would of been 3-5 in the ACC this year. The thing is DD will have better teams here over the long term because of the talent.

^^you say tob would've gone 3-5 like that's a good thing. he would've been in year 7. 3-5 in year 7 is terrible.

this year sucks. but we're doing some great things, particularly on defense, that show me we're going to be very good very soon. we're gang tackling instead of arm tackling. we're bumping receivers at the line of scrimmage instead of playing 30 yards off the line of scrimmage. we did a great job creating turnovers against duke. but they're getting no help from the offense, so they're limited in how good they can be.

i don't think you're going to learn much about how we're going to be on offense watching this team play because we're so bad at the quarterback position and at o-line. but consider that we have two excellent young running backs, we have a big young receiver in ramos, and we're potentially set at tight end for four years with grinnage. throw in brissett next year and maybe we completely turn it around in year 2, and we certainly are winning a lot of games in year 3. and don't forget, doeren is 40 years old, not 100 like tob. if he sticks around we're going to have stability in the football program for a very long time.

^^^^ No I think 3-5 is a bad thing. I'm just stating that's probably what he would of done.

offense plays a role there with turnovers, three-and-outs, and losing the field position battle. that's why i said the defense is limited in how good it can be because it gets no help from the offense.

Look back to the clemson game when our defense was really playing hard. They were really stingy. I don't care how hard you try, when the offense isn't scoring, and you know the game si already over, NOBODY is going to fight as hard in the trenches when they are tired. Its just human nature.

2-3 years? Are you serious? With the way things are going this year, I'll be happy if in year 4 the ACC record is 3-5. Though truthfully I don't think he'll be around anymore at that point.

And while I agree that Jaybee generally acts like a douche in these threads, if his assertion actually was that we'll never do better than 4th in the conference, I can see that. Unless something changes drastically, I think the ACC will cease to exist long before we win another conference title.

Even with how bad we are, a competent qb would have won us 2-3 games this season. If we don't win ~3 acc games next year then I could see him being gone. But I expect him to get it turned around, I just hope jacoby is better than competent

Funny, because I've seen a lot of games, including the last two, where missed arm tackles are a disease and where receivers have 10-30 yard cushions from the LOS and all the way through their routes. Are we watching the same team? Sure, the defense has had their moments, but our secondary sucks horribly.

It's a talent gap guys, we're 10x worse than any other ACC team. If anything, we should all suck Doeren's dick for making guys with middle school level talent compete with Clemson. Our true talent showed in every single other game this year.

In year three maybe Dave will have us back to the previous Coach we forced out's level.

Seriously we canned a coach that was 5-1 against UNC and was going to his third straight bowl.
