^^with games @Duke, @BC, ECU (home), MD (home)...none of those are completely unwinnable, but I wouldn't be surprised if we lose all 4.

I see us pulling maybe 1 win out of those three.

@Duke seems very unlikely as they are riding a high, are at home and had a week off to prepare.

@BC seems like a 40-60 game for us (60% chance to lose - face analysis), but only if we shut down their run game. If Williams goes off ala Syracuse style, we have no chance as BC's defense is not bad.

ECU - 50-50 game assuming our guys get motivated to actually win a game against a NC team. ECU will be amped though to be able to claim victories at State and at UNC so I don't see a victory here.

Umd - Our best chance to win since Maryland is dealing with injury issues again. They will be fighting for a bowl or bowl position though and could be motivated. Plus it's Maryland and they like to shit in our cereal.

What ACC records have we allowed to be broken against us in the past 2 years?

Most passing yards in a game vs Miami last year. Most rushing yards by a player vs BC this year.

We've also never lost 7 conference games in one season. This team is all about setting records so there's hope.

Setting all type of records. Pretty fucking sad season. NC State and Iowa State should schedule each other every season since we are mirror images of futility year in and year out. That way at least one of us gets a win against real competition.

in the last 3 years, we were 25-14 (13-11 in conference), went to three bowls and won 2 of them. No, we weren't very good, but we were a lot better than what we are this year.

^ You are right. I mainly make the Iowa State comparison as they, like us, never win conference championships in football or basketball either. It is frustrating watching us fall apart as quickly as we have.

I have to keep thinking that it's a combination of an entire new coaching staff, new QBs (who just aren't very good), and running a new system, and we'll see steady improvement in the next couple years (we seriously can't do much worse)

We had 5 straight years of being quarterbacked by guys starting in the NFL right now and went 19-21 in a down ACC. We've been this shitty for a while, just didn't fully know it until this year.

yeah, he's been great in the very limited time he's seen. just like mitchell was great in those first few minutes of the first game. when mitchell comes back, he's going to be 1,000 times better than thomas.....

^^Add to that... at this point why leave Mitchell and Thomas in the game? Why not start giving reps to the person that will be starting for us next year? I guess it's an indication that Mitchell or Thomas will start next year. Maybe he hopes that a true freshman will take the helm?
