I agree, the outpouring of displeasure with Trump is unparalleled. Congress is going to have to help manage these first 100 days or so. It would behoove the president to start with something that even MSNBC would be hard pressed to criticize, like rolling back some of shit Obama did right at the end like expanded surveillance powers or the like (fat fucking chance of that though, sigh). Hell, if he just does nothing for a few weeks and then introduces a tariff to protect the auto industry it'll be back to business as usual.

The "good" news for Trump is that after this weekend most of the folks who showed up to marches will go back to watching the bachelor and tweeting about bullshit award shows and will stop paying attention to politics (not that they really are now either). There isn't very much real political will from most of society and it takes energy to stay pissed off.
