I am at 96Rock and we are doing the Top 500 rock songs. Frankly, if you guys could see the list for the top 50 you would have a stroke. Vinylbandit would probably commit suicide out of protest. Hell, I disagree with a good chunk of the top 50, even knowing the limitations and criteria that went into compiling the list. Song 50 and song 25 are of particular distaste to me. But, that being said, I didn't make the list and it sort of makes it fun to argue about.

I will say that both of those songs that I referenced are from the 90's. One of them doesn't belong on the list at all and the other, if it should be on the top 500, should be one of the very bottom songs. and really I would argue that it shouldnt be on the list at all either.

Even I would be suprised by MMMBop being on that list. Unless they are including the sub genres of rock like pop rock.
If that was the case I wouldn't be surpised if it made the top 500. Although many people see it as crap it was performed by one of the first true boy bands which as many people would probably hate to admit it was an influential part of our culture in the late 90s

I said ONE OF THE FIRST TRUE boy bands.

That takes out a lot of the other boy bands. You know bands that have members over the age of 18 are not boy bands. I also said one of the...meaning that I was acknowledging the fact that there were some before them. Later in that statement I added in the late 90's which knocked out many other bands. But thanks for trying to call me out anyway.

I'm thinking that too. My first thought was a collage, but then I thought that I probably wouldn't hang one up and it'd just get tucked away behind something and forgotten about.
