I know for a fact 7bb/100 isn't too hard to keep up at 50NL...at least 4-6 tabling. How much do you think your loosing by playing so many tables? I'd figure a reasonable amount (although I doubt it's enough to warrant not 16 tabling). 7/31/2008 10:16:06 PM |

I guess I just haven't had enough experience with playing full ring to know if 7bb/100 is sustainable. I honestly don't think the increase in tables would hurt my bb/100... It actually probably helps it as it keeps me from being bored. Its obviously less variant to play full ring since there aren't "plays" being made every hand as it seems in 6max games. Since I don't need to be making big moves or reads to make a profit here, I can easily fire up more tables and keep nearly the same win rate as I would with only a few tables as long as I can still play a 12/8 game or so. I think the biggest advantage here is that you can play more tables and thus have a higher $/hr when you can include rakeback/fpps. I'm sure anyone would agree to play the game that will net the highest $/hr.8/1/2008 11:05:03 AM |

I forget, what is 12/8 again? What hands are you playing when you are 16 tabling full ring? 8/1/2008 11:49:52 AM |

Well it's hard to say exactly. Its pretty similar to 6max when you are in position. I will always raise 22+ and AQo+ if folded to me. I will open fold AJo and below from early positions. I do a lot of flatting in position to early position raises with TT and below and suited connectors/1-gappers. I will open up my range a lot more from the button and co. It obv gets very robotic and as always, the key is position. You need to try to play a really tight game (even tighter than you may think) and never try to make hero calls or bluff. There is no way you have a read when playing this many tables so I usually will just fold when facing a lot of aggression (that obv can be exploited at higher limits, but not 50nl). Other than playing tighter and not making as many "plays", its very similar to the 6max games I've played.8/1/2008 1:20:08 PM |

I get to play tighter and I don't have to worry about making plays. Sounds like up my alley. Maybe I will give that a try if I get tired of mtts. 8/1/2008 2:36:14 PM |

The bigger mistake was not raising pf. Yeah, you had to see if anyone had anything, but the bb called your big bet out of position, so throw on the brakes.8/3/2008 10:39:05 PM |

whatever level you are most comfortable with, start playing games about 15-20 minutes apart from each other. Concentrate most of your time on the games that are in the higher blind levels. You'll be mostly folding at the beginning of those things anyway.8/3/2008 10:53:30 PM |

^^ might have waited for a little better situation, but I wouldn't fault you for it. Most of the time you'll take down a decent sized pot. It didn't matter here, but anytime someone limps utg late in an online tournament now, I'm cautious. 8/5/2008 11:11:27 PM |

I completely disagree with the push. You had over 10 bbs and there were already several limpers in the pot. 10J offsuit is not the hand to push with there.

I think it depends on your view of the first limper. Does he seem like a trappy player? I think him or the small blind are the only two that will call in this situation. I would wait for a better situation, but I think only two people would have hands that would call you there given the pf action. But if you are called, you're probably a dog 8/6/2008 2:48:28 PM |

I think the first 3 limpers (UTG and MP1/2) were something like ~50/5/1, all of which had fairly large stacks that I put on a pretty wide range, and the SB I wouldn't put on anything worth calling (probably would have pushed if he had anything). Felt like with that pot size and blinds going up next hand (100/200, putting me at 7BBs), I had decent odds and also folding equity w/ hands like K10, Q10, etc. I actually think I read it perfectly and got into the exact situation I wanted, but bad hands take bad beats I suppose. My only 2nd guessing was that I'd be able to see 8 or so more hands, and have a decent chance at a better hand than the 10Jo 8/6/2008 3:14:20 PM |

It looks like they just offer courier now and I still have a fair amount (for me) in that account. I may just play big tournaments until I go bust or hit it big. Waiting two months for a check is dumb. 8/6/2008 10:38:33 PM |
