this was one of the best

very good. i liked it

youll notice that;

-there may be more to sawyer and jack's fathers meeting, something else may have happened
-jack's salvation now lies within sawyer bc he could tell him what his father thought of him before he died

i saw a big raft that the black guy was building. maybe he'll sail that thing at the end of s1. he'll probably end up on the other side of the island, shipwrecked. maybe at the series's end, they will all band together to build a raft with a sail that could make it a few hundred miles.

they would need a compass and material to make the sail out of, but im sure its possible

the ending of this ep gave me a "calm before the storm" kind of feeling. they tied up some loose ends and no new conflicts started. (buried ethan, sawyer figured some things out, sawyer and kate bonded some, sayed and sawyer had a almost friendly conversation) next week looks like its gonna be some shit.(locke screaming about other ppl on island attacking them, raft conflicts)

Ok they flashed back to where that guy came to see island sawyer. Sawyer said something like "what are you doing here i told you i'd kill you the next time I saw you" and the guy said he'd come to make up for the whatever it was he had done. Then he said "do you remember Robert Patrick? Well it turns out that his real name Sawyer a name I'm sure you remember." The fact that the information about this Sawyer was important enough to forgive whatever the guy had done, shows that the info wa really important to Island Sawyer.

That along with the fact that he flew all that way to kill him tells me that was the Sawyer he was looking for. Also when the real sawyer asked where island Sawyer was from, Island Sawyer or James as he called himself said he was from somewhere and the real Sawyer was like "oh yea I remember that place" or something that implied he had been there.

Though I will add that I missed like the last 5 mins so I don't know if he killed him or not or if they revealed something then. so unless the guy was lying to him that was the real sawyer.

^,^^^Yea the dude that "Sawyer" shot wasn't the right person. Just someone that owed "Sawyer's" friend some money and didn't pay up in time. When he called Robert Patrick Sawyer, Robert said he wasn't Sawyer. Then "Sawyer asked how he knew his friend and thats when he said he owed him money.

If you are referring to Jack and Sawyer with this statement I don't really think so. The way they have been portrayed thus far is that Jack is the noble doctor who helps everyone, and Sawyer is just a loner asshole type.
But with this episode we finally saw that there is more to Sawyer than just that and he isn't really as bad as he seems. He was able to talk to Sayid, it may not have been a nice conversation but its understandable considering what Sayid did to him (this also confirms that Sayid wasn't just hearing voices since Sawyer did too). He also willingly gave Jack the gun. Now the whole thing with the boar. The boar was ruining his life on the island just like the real Sawyer did to his life when he was a kid. Somehow Locke saw this and told the story about his sisters death and the dog showing up. When Sawyer finally got a chance to kill the boar he didn't. I think this is saying that Saywer is going to give up his search. At least thats what I got out of it.

^ Good call with the point about islandSawyer giving up his search or moving on with his life or whatever.

But, now that he realizes that Jack's father was the one who finally pushed him over the edge and convinced him to kill a (unknowingly innocent) man, islandSawyer might have a bone to pick with Jack. iSawyer makes a bit of progress in his mental state, but learning who Jack's father was probably sent him right back into his state of being a nutjob. Guess we'll find out in 4 weeks (cause the writers sure as shit aren't going to actually solve any real problems anytime soon......)

Sawyer did not meet the real Sawyer. After he shot the shrimp man, it was revealed he was set up by Hibbs (Robert Patrick...the guy who came into his room when he was with the blonde) to take care of a debtor who borrowed money. He ended up killing a man for nothing. Hibbs conned Sawyer into killing shrimp guy because he owed him money. Shrimp guy wasn't the guy that conned his parents and caused their death.
