this shit has officially gotten crazy, some dude on the free board has tracked Wendell murphey's plane and is trying to read into where he is flying to come to a Barnes conclusion

Quote :
"Cool...so Murphy's plane was used to fly to Indianapolis on Sunday>>>>

Even more telling (according to the flight records) was the fist thing in the morning after Herbie accepted the position the Murphy plane headed back to from Indy to Raleigh. It was on the ground at RDU for 33 minutes and headed back to Indy. Was this picking up reinforcements for the "what the heck are we gonna do now?" meetings in Indy? Of course...could just be wealthy folks shuttling more people to watch more BBall...but the timing is interesting.

Mike"

Quote :
"so, from yannes' information, Wendell Murphy's plane has only been to Indianapolis and Raleigh and nothing since a return trip back from the championship game.

From that, either Murphy is not involved in any supposed negotiations or there are no negotiations at all (at least nothing face to face)."

Quote :
"Sorry, I should have been more specific. What I'm saying is that no one from NC State (RDU) flew to Austin today. Same goes for Wendell Murphy (from Rose Hill, NC).

Unless they flew American Eagle, which I doubt.

However, it appears that there were people associated with NC State in Indianapolis the past couple of days"

etc.....etc.....

also, just realized this R.B.C......Rick Barnes Center!!!!!!!!!

if you count up the number of letters in his name, and subtract that from 1 (since he is our #1 choice) you get 9

if you count up the number of letters in his name, and add that to 1 (since he is our #1 choice) you get 11

OMG 9-11!!!

but barnes seems to be the most realistic of the top 3-4 guys

he has ties here, and may want to move back, ACC, lack of fan support at Tejas, etc.

Tubby has a mega mega back end deal with almost 17 mil in guranteed money, so he may be foolish to leave

Wright just re-upped with Nova for a number of years, so that is a long shot (but he did not re-up at the money we are supposidly throwing at barnes, so i guess there is always a chance)

Word on Calipari is he would definately jump at the chance to get out of Con USA, then others say he would never leave memphis and there is no chance, and there is also speculation about his less than squeaky clean reputatiion, which has been refuted a number of times, but still persists....we shall see

not sure any coach is REALLY worth that

but in the current market, with the level of success that the fans here desire the short answer would be......YES

If you had a choice b/w frank haith for a mil or barnes for 2 mil what would you do?

I think I rather have barnes and its not like the students pay for it; shoes, wolfpack club, wolfpack radio pay for most of it. And they will see a return in sales.

Live Wolves to accept job at NC State!
Posted: 4/5/06 3:15:12 pm From Fox Sports Net.

Raleigh--

The fans wanted some change and a little passion. Well considering what happened today in Raleigh, i'd say they got both. NC State announced today that 3 rabid live wolves have agreed to terms to be the new Wolfpack
coach(es).

"We couldn't be more excited. To bring in not one, not two, but three passionate coaches to lead this team back to the elite of college basketball is just beyond words." said AD Fowler.

Live wolves have often been a topic of discussion with wolfpack fans and these three have already got the fans excited when Mike Gminski argued with them that there was no real history or success in Wolpack basketball.
He asked one question to the wolves.

"Isn't it kind of ridiculous to want to compete with UNC and Duke? I mean, c'mon? Isn't it better to just take care of the Virginias, Virginia Techs and Clemsons of the world?"

It didn't take long for the wolves to answer the question.

"I saw one grey wolf jump up and just bite his head clean off. Man, that was a site. And then the black wolf went in on a leg and the other...well...let's just say he marked some territory on the G-man. Gminski has one big head too!" said Dwayne from Apex.

The headless Gminski kept on tearing down the wolfpack's previous successes until his bloodied body was escorted out of the press conference. He had no further comment.

The coaching contract is rumored to be worth 300,000 per wolf with a free BBQ per week. Wendell Murphy said that would be no problem.

this is how silly it has gotten
