Pat, I hear you but it just seems lazy for businesses to tell employees not to come in. This is a minor event and I don't think people realize how much snow days impact bottom lines and in turn the economy. A federal employee snow day in DC cost taxpayers $100m for example -- work should only be optional for real events, not dustings.

moo hoo and aces and ates are worlds apart as far as stylings go. Both great beers. Moo Hoo is just so drinkable with its chocolatey goodness.


and agreed about the Cold Mountain Cask. We had one last month in CLT and it was off the charts.

Not sure if i'll be dropping in there tonight or not. The lady doesn't go in until 9 so maybe i'll stop in late to see her.

Woody, not a chance they'll have any cask cold mountain left. I'm not sure if they have any on tap either. Probably bottles though.


I'm kinda bummed that they're out of Aviator Nipper Frost. Loved that one, and it went fast

^^but if you want something that one offers and the other one does not (because they are two different styles of bar) then obviously you are going to prefer one over the other... but to say one sucks isn't fair because it is going for something completely different. It is like all the jackwagons who debate that MV Ruckus is better/worse than Cary Ruckus- the only thing they have in common are the name and the owners


it's ok to prefer one over the other, but that is probably because you prefer that style of drinking establishment and you wouldn't have liked the other to begin with

UFO party was kinda cool, but would have been a lot cooler if we'd shown up earlier. As it was, we showed up 40 minutes after the party "officially" started (at 7) and it was slammed. Nowhere to sit except outside in the cold.

Since we'd already been drinking for 3 1/2 hrs we just grabbed our free pint of Rogue 21, hung around for the first raffle drawing, and then bailed.
