Did that muffed punt hit the UCF player in the helmet? Leach ref it like 3 times during the challenge and then later in the game but I never saw it.

I can't hate on our defense too much for the collapse after being on the goddamn field the entire 2nd half... our offensive play calling is so horrible.. At least we're blitzing this season and creating some turnovers

do we have a realistic shot against Cincy this Thursday? I don't know much about them, but see they're 1-1. But last season they were really good. I realize it was the Big LEast, but 12-1 is pretty damn impressive.

Nice to get a win but agree that the play calling is just all over the place. We don't ever seem to get into any type of rhythm nor do a good job setting up plays throughout the game. Just seems like the coaches are like "um.. lets try this. No lets do this. No I got it lets chuck the ball there. Damn, lets just run it some more that seems to work."

The worst to me was the 3rd down play in the 4th when we've ran the ball pretty well all game and we need a yard and run the spread option and Wilson keeps and loses like 4 yards. A first down there pretty much seals the game, line up under center and run the ball hard off tackle, show confidence in the line and get the yard. Just not a big fan of snapping the ball back 5 yards when you just need one.

Punting is horrible. Average 33 yards a punt..But I guess the upside of that is the punts are so damn bad we've now had 2 games in a row we've managed to recover punts after they've bounced off the other team. Onside Punts FTW.

im guessing cincy's new coach (who took over for their old coach at his last stop, as well) will have his team gelled just in time for our game

but who knows, they looked like shit in fresno and took a half to really get rolling against their IAA team

Seemed like when UCF switched to their backup, that really threw off our defensive plan. We went from looking pretty competent to not knowing what we were doing in order to contain that guy.

In other news, I just got back to my dorm and got a Cinci ticket.

Yeah, I am just glad that we are not the 3rd game of their season ... that backup is very talented, and I am betting they will be a top 25 rated team at some point this season with they way they played in the 2nd half, assuming they can continue doing so.

I think we were a bit surprised as well. Hard to prepare for a super fast QB when you dont know hes going to play against you.

You guys are ridiculous. We beat a team we were not supposed to beat and all I hear is bitching about our offensive game plan. It is the second game of the year we are still feeling out what works and what doesn't work. Neither of our lines is very experienced and that is going to show in third and short situations where we try and pick it up on the ground.

Cincy lost everything and is not even good this year. We not only have a shot, will be favored and should win.

thats just stupid preparation then. When a team has a guy that was almost the national player of the year as a backup qb, its the coaches responsibility to prepare plans for both qbs and i believe they did. I just think our system flat out sucks against mobile qbs. Thats why we do so poorly in the ACC but beat unc easily.

RW is still a titan but he's only as powerful as our prayers to him. I think everyones prayers had started going to the defense so RW lost a lot of his power.

RW played about as bad as he's played since the SC game last year. UCF brought in a fresh QB that we probably didn't game plan for (or game-planned very little).

And despite those things, we still beat a decent team on the road that was favored. I'll take it.

RW was bad -- he never tried to check down or make any quick passes like their QB did, but the UCF DL and LB were definitely just running right around our OL. We were missing blocks, our double teams were getting beaten, and we were losing 1-on-1s.

^^True, the line sucked bad in pass blocking. Whoever was playing LT was getting abused repeatedly (even though UCF's defensive ends were outstanding). Maybe it's time to get Crisp more time.

But there were some throws that RW just plain missed, even when he had some time to throw. Every now and then, he has those games where he never seems to get in a rhythm and his accuracy/touch are all off.

But you're right, the Oline definitely didn't do him any favors.

I was in orlando and decided at the last minute to go over to the stadium and get a ticket. Its a new stadium and it was pretty nice. They designed it to shake when people jump ( they call it the bounce house) so they did that played out zombie nation ad nauseum.

The people around me that were ucf fans had no idea who their back up qb was. They just kept cheering on "#2"

I believe that the play calling was erratic because we were not doing a good job up front and because RW was having an off night. In the first half everything was fine because we could run the ball. UCF made adjustments and then we had trouble.

Plus... Graham should have caught this ball
