If this decision was made without knowing the financial impact, is that alone grounds for termination? Making this call without that information strikes me as incompetent. PS – Don’t tell me they can’t make these projections. Look at the end of the JB era for comparables b/c that is where we will be in the next year or 2. 4. Emails re overall impact of decision on athletic department. What programs will AD have to cut as a result of reduced funding? How will this impact UNC effort to recruit a new top flight AD. Did HT ask for and receive this info before relieving BD? 5. Any emails re timing of the decision and specifically how that timing related to ticket sales and BZ funding. Did HT hold back so as to secure Alum donations? 6. Efforts made to research potential new coaches before firing BD. Did they go into this without a plan? Do they have an exit strategy in mind? Why not wait to get a new person in line so the transition is seamless? Is failure to have a plan when there was no real urgency in making this call (we had bumped along for months already) another example of incompetence? 7. Emails reflecting on consideration of the interests of current players. Does the absence of any emails on that issue reflect an utter disregard for their interest? 8. Emails from academics putting pressure on HT. Who was driving the train from that perspective? They need to be outed. 9. Emails discussing in tangible terms the impact the scandal has had on UNC’s reputation. Was it just assumed the reputation was hurt or was any effort actually made to try to quantify that? If not, why? Would be nice if the press could show that our reputation really was not hurt, making the basis for this decision unfounded and simply based on the speculation of some insecure pin headed academics. There is a ton of stuff out there. Let’s help the media find the trail. As I stated in another thread, this case (like the case against BD) will be won in the court of public opinion. In order to win that fight, we need the help of the media. We know those guys read these boards. Maybe they will read this and get on the stick. I CANNOT SAY IT ENOUGH TIMES. IF YOU CARE ABOUT UNC, WANT TO REDRESS THE WRONG THAT HAS TRANSPIRED AND WANT TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE ACTUAL LEADERS LEADING OUR GREAT UNIVERSITY, WE HAVE TO STAY ON TOP OF THIS. PLEASE GET MAD!!!!!
