To clarify, I wasn't posting those pictures to place blame on the refs. The refs didn't make us miss shots or make crappy plays. But I always post pictures in the game thread, and I was too pissed at our team to post any pictures of good plays, etc.

The thing is, which has been said before, we NEED to beat UVA at home. We'll be 5-2 in the ACC with 3 winnable games after that. That's where the focus for this teams needs to be. I hope that they put this loss in the back of their mind until we play UNC again at home.

agreed. i think its pretty obvious that we simply just didnt play well whatsoever. garbage shots, and even the good looks were WAY off the mark.

i am actually rather thankful that we play again tomorrow so that we have a quick chance to get this awful taste out of our mouths.

The one where Howell was called for a foul because he ripped the ball out of Zeller's hands on a rebound? There was a lot of contact on that one, but I don't think it was all Howell, Zeller came down on top of him too, and tripped himself up, and then lost balance when Howell ganked at the ball.

on the replay for that foul, it looked like zeller had position and fell with howell on his back... probably the correct call.

One that wasn't a foul but stuck in my mind was right after Howell picked up #2 he missed a bunny and did that stupid up swing to try and knock the ball loose that all big men do after they get emasculated. You should automatically get five on the pine for even attempting that..

yea - I'm not trying to blame the refs for a loss - or even say that howell didn't foul him on that play - I just remember it being not so obvious as other over the backs (no calls) by henson

they are trying to say that howell had no position on the play what-so-ever, but I'm saying if he didn't have some kind of position - how did zeller get thrown to the ground?

We played like absolute ass last night, but it would've been nice to see Howell not pick up 5 fouls in 16 minutes of play. I feel like our gameplan early was to get their bigs in foul trouble, but we went away from it when we were getting our bigs in foul trouble at the same time. The one where Henson flopped when Howell backed into him in the post, and the loose ball between Zeller and Howell both shouldn't have been called.

Having said that though Brown absolutely wore out the back board with how many jumpers he had that only hit the glass. I hope they play a lot calmer and in control on Saturday.

eh it's mostly a matchup thing with the type of team lowe built as of late, state is 190th in three points made while most of roy's losses as of late are to teams that can shoot really well from the perimeter/have the capability to get hot (yes fsu has bad 3 pt stats for the yr but they still hit 12 or so 3s), you def can't outrun this team so unless you can really disrupt their interior guys you don't have a much of a shot
