Beverly scored three and gave up thirty. Almost single handedly lost it for us. With Hughes this would have been a loss, but we will take it.

3-0 against the other bubble teams (UVA, ND, Cuse) will also help with ACC seeding.

i think part of the issue is that Markell isn't a good FT shooter this year. so when the other team is trying to foul, we're inbounding to guys like DD or CJB that aren't necessarily great ball handlers.

but we were struggling with their press even before they started fouling. that is definitely frustrating.

obviously NCAAT is more important, but we're still alive for that #4 spot in the ACCT. UVA is ahead of us by a game for the 4 spot right now.

Yeah 3 games left vs Duke and FSU. Luckily two are at home, so it’d be awesome to steal one of those. So while we do have the tie breaker over them, we still need to gain a game somewhere. But there’s still 7 games left. So a lot can change. Good to have the tie breakers over UVa, Cuse, ND right now.

We need to win 2 out of the next 3 to have a chance at top4 and a good shot at the tournament. If things go downhill, we might have to end up throwing the last game just to avoid Georgia Tech/UNC but I'll bring that back if/when its appropriate. Too much time left now.

3rd to last play was the typical markelle turnover in a critical moment

2nd to last play was daniels going one on 3 when we needed a timeout to setup a gamewinning play. he got grabbed on the arm lost the ball and then the bc player went out of bounds before passing for a dunk. the bc players should not have had an uncontested dunk but we watched the whole thing

last play markelle inexplicably passes it under the basket with 2 seconds left. there is no coaching that can fix his level of game awareness. The guy is a team IQ cancer

Maybe. But Markell getting his pocket picked and then passing the ball inside the arc on the final play doesn’t seem like coaching (unless KK drew that play up in which case woof). 2/19 on 3s doesn’t seem like coaching. I’m not saying KK is without fault. Missing wide open 3s and your star senior PG playing poorly isn’t a recipe for winning. Ultimately it isalways falls back on the coach...but I’m not convinced KK is a bad coach.

Our plays on inbounds and in end game moments are so consistently ass that its damn near impossible NOT to see a connection with coaching at this point. I mean, if your team is dumb af, then draw something they can run.

We had some very good inbounds plays today, you just conveniently ignore then because it doesn't fit your narrative. Also that poor coaching is what called the switch to the 3-2 zone which led to getting back in the game.

I’m convinced that something is up with Markell. He isn’t the player he was last year. He is downright bad at times. I have no idea what it is. But he has regressed this year. And doesn’t seem to be the senior leader you would hope he is

^^Fair enough. I only watched the last 4 minutes of the game because I have checked out on this team. I just know we look like a monkey fucking a football at the end of any one possession game where we call the timeout.

^ It's the weirdest thing. He is a WAY worse shooter and has more turnovers. Nothing about his game is better. He had the chance to be a first-round pick this season had he improved even a little bit from last year.

Daniels was a walking turnover in the 2nd half today. When two of your team leaders in Markell and Daniels turn it over at the end it is hard to come back from the terrible 3 point shooting. If only Beverly could shoot 3s like when he was a freshman it would give us a nice lift but he is awful this season.
