Exactly. I was just going to check when I realized there was no way my jack was good so I had to bet if I wanted to win the pot. I bet to represent the flush but still managed to get called by top pair 4 kicker with 4 to the flush on the board.

Ugh just got back from a weekend in Vegas. I think my whole trip can be summed up in one hand.

$1/2 at MGM

Me (~$700)
Only other solid guy at the table (~$500)

Other guy UTG raises to 8
I'm CO+1 w/ AA ---> raise to 25
Everyone folds ----> UTG tanks ----> makes it 100
I put him all in ---> he insta-calls and shows KK

Flop - 7 4 T
Turn - K
River - don't know

Damn the poker Gods, that one hand made me just a bit in the red for the trip.

KK vs 88 ruined my ACY trip. Though it was the difference in being up 500 and down 400 as the events played out thereafter.

Also, just one recommendation for anyone looking to play lower limit MTTs in Vegas.

I know i've recommend the Sahara tournament, it's a great structure. I also played Caesars Palace 65+5 2 times this trip. 2500 starting chips w/ blinds starting at 25/50...30 min levels. Definitely one of the better structures for the price...

Caesars ran had 3 of those 65+5s a day. 9am, 12am, and 1pm (I think).

They were surprisingly unsoft though, compared to others i've played.

made about 1200 playing 2/5 (the higest nl game they were rnning at the hard rock) in about 2-3 hrs on the first day there and didnt play after that

Haven't really been playing too much to clutter up your thread here with my nonsense. Started playing tonight, was fucked on AA, lost my bankroll at a table when this dickbag called my re-raise and went all-in post flop with a fucking mid-pair and caught trips on fourth.

Won all of it back with KK on an easy preflop call against AK.

That's fairly common. The player looks and sees he has a straight and goes ape shit. He doesn't stop to think about what you have. All he knows is he has the second nuts.
