this is great news for us, i've thought we would be a player for him ever since he played with a lot of our guys at the Pro-AM last summer. The fact that he and Julius, Zo, CJL are close and hang out regularly can only help.

I heard about this last week (and no, the source was not packpride), and my understanding is that this is pretty much a done deal. Being a State fan though, I'm not going to get excited until I see it is official.

I know that a lot of people are really high on Tyler Lewis, but I just can't really get all that excited about him. I certainly hope that his game translates well to college, but being so undersized, and not being particularly athletic worries me. I don't know how consistent his 3 ball is, but it'd be nice to have someone else who is an outside threat besides Scott.

How good are his ball-handling skills? Our backup PG is going to be either Scott Wood or CJ Williams. Not exactly what we want. If we have the last shot at him, I think it's 50-50.

Just seeing us mentioned in Lacey's "final list" and Purvis's "interested list" is good news at this point (immediately after the regime change, etc.)

If Lacey joined-up, he'd probably get plenty of time as our sg, sharing minutes with wood and cjw (who'd also be switching-in at the 3)

But i'm still wondering who's going to run the offense when Brown needs a rest or gets in foul trouble. While Lacey seems very talented, ball-handling doesn't seem to be his forte (according to his ESPN evaluation....)

he shoots lights out, and in his HS videos he is almost constantly set up by teammates. dude can ball though, there's something to be said for nailing 3 point shots whether you're open or not at any level.
