i don't really consider them spoilers either since they are made to go along with the shows (they supplement the content on the show and are made by the show's creators)
i think it is still courteous to give a tag when discussing content from the most recent novel (old novels are fair game) 12/7/2006 1:20:04 PM |

Nikki is good, Jessica her alter-ego or whatever is bad.
Mohinders visions of the past are induced by an indian boy who has the power to visit peoples dreams to help them make decisions or something like that. So I would say that website of yours is certainly mistaken and definitely not reputable, and why keep referring to it like a secret....just post the link to refrenced websites. 12/7/2006 4:29:17 PM |

Of all the mysteries, I'd like to know what the fuck is Niki's power. It's been bugging me since the show began. I'm guessing super strength? But it only comes out in Jessica and there's probably more to it.
Damn, why'd they have to kill Eden? Issac is pretty useless; he should have taken a bullet to the head. 12/7/2006 8:38:53 PM |

Eden had a real life contract conflict and was going to die eventually.
I think there was a contract dispute between all the characters and the execs decided to kill someone off to nip it in the bud.

ok to prove mr. bennet has a power, look when he first goes to see syler eden was outside about to go in with him and he say "no, i got it" and goes in by himself 12/7/2006 9:09:27 PM |

well, what we're saying is maybe the haitian has a range that his power can block powers out. and he was sitting outside the door or something. i'm still not convinced bennett has a power, but i'm open to the possibility. 12/7/2006 9:12:05 PM |

now im thinking that syler can only move metal with his mind and the cell had no metals but when eden took the gun there he used that to break the glass 12/7/2006 9:59:14 PM |
BobbyDigital Thots and Prayers 41777 Posts user info edit post |
My suspicion is that bennett had somehow rigged the room to where it could also block powers (perhaps with help from the haitian?) and Sylar used his natural power of figuring out how it worked, and disabled it... then bided his time for the opportunity to get Eden.
EDIT: ^ I like your theory better, now that I think of it the only objects I can remember him moving were of the metallic persuasion.

i'm hoping that niki's power may be the ability to summon dead heroes (maybe jessica was a hero with super strength, but being so young she couldn't fight back when her father killed her in his drunken state [or whatever happened])
maybe it's just super strength...but summoning the dead would be sweet.
and why i say that is b/c of the tattoo. weren't her and her sister twins? if not...brothers and sisters still have more similarities in DNA (like nathan and peter)...therefore with her sister being the closest to her she is having this "split personality" complex
and if that's true--it's possible that mohinder DOES have a power since his sister had one at such a young age
all personal theories...bash at will.

I'm still curious as to how Sylar steals abilities. We know that his initial ability is that he has an empathic ability to intimately understand how things work - but that doesn't take us to incorporating those changes into his dna/brain. I would buy that he could use telekinesis to alter his DNA on the molecular level, once he's seen how it operates - but this wouldn't have been an option until after he stole telekinesis. So, he had to have some means of initially changing his DNA/altering his brain when he killed the telekinetic guy in his shop. I think in the first or second episode we see an open book about brain anatomy, but not much else.
Of course, one doesn't need a brain to sample DNA, so I think the writers have their work cut out to make this brain stealing thing plausible.
It's also interesting how similar Sylar's initial ability is to Micah's. Micah can also understand complicated, technical things. Not only that, but he can "heal" things that are broken. Maybe him and Sylar have the same ability, only Sylar pursues it to an evil end and Micah to the good. Sylar did say something to the effect of "you're broken, but I can fix it" to the telekinetic right before Sylar knocked him the fuck out. 12/8/2006 12:32:05 AM |

she did have cancer...the cancer came from her ability. she was "special" but whatever it was it didn't adapt right so she started developing a tumor in her brain.
much like charlie's ability--she had a aneurysm that would kill her anyday.
it's part of the evolution--some of the heroes can adapt to their powers, while others don't work with their body well so they die of natural causes to weed out the poorly designed genetics 12/8/2006 8:11:32 AM |

I think there is a possiblity of a twist that Mr Bennett may have a device or a power to block other heroes powers and they just have the Haitain guy nearby to confuse you. The only real abilty we have seen him do is wipe people's memory.
A possible counter to this theory is when the cop tries to read the Haitain's mind in the bar he can't but there is a chance that Bennett was in the room or using a similiar device.
Who do you think Bennet is talking to on the phone when he discuses about Sylar? 12/8/2006 8:59:03 AM |

Here's something I was thinking about.
The aneurysm thing came up when Hiro went back in time to try to save her. After which, he realized that he can't change the past. Presumably, in the 'alternate past' she died of an aneurysm rather than at the hands of Sylar, so presumably in the past where she did get killed, she may not have had the aneurysm. It's probably a detail that will never be addressed, but interesting nonetheless.
If that's true, then Hiro did some good by not allowing Sylar to gain Charlie's powers. But then again that does change the past, which contradicts Hiro's epiphany.12/8/2006 10:22:11 AM |
