So this has been a rough week and with so much on my mind...I didn't realize that Eli was on a bye week and Aaron Brooks was out. Unless one of these people checks their email by 4:15, I've already lost today
Thankfully I have another league starting soon. 10/1/2006 2:19:27 PM |

Once again screw vinitieri and the Colts.
They hold him out of practice thursday so I pick up another kicker, then yahoo news tells me he's gonna be kickning FGs and XPs, so I leave him in the lineup.
And that bastard doesn't play AGAIN! and my backup scored 22 points!
At least I'm still winning, so far, but I have played more people than my opponent has. 10/1/2006 4:31:35 PM |

I already have Peyton so no need for another stellar QB really, unless to keep a monopoly

Thanks Guru for the advice last week. I kept Chris Chambers in this week and he scored. In fact, I actually won 3 out of my 4 games. The one I lost in was by only 1 point.

i really played the wrong guys this weekend, with exception to Maroney and P.Manning
berrian went wild, as did thomas jones
if i played them over bryant and bush, i might have had a chance
otherwise i doubt McNabb and Westbrook don't combine for 20 pts tonight 10/2/2006 10:32:39 AM |

Facetious Ferrets | 4-0 | (103-83) | Screw Alexander & Westbrook. I'm undefeated and in first place in one league, I've got Housh on a bye next week and am looking to drop Reggie Brown (who may be hurt) and cant decide who to pick up. I've got Deion Branch (who is also on a bye next week) and Braylon Edwards on my bench (who I plan to start in place of Housh)
here are the best choices at WR on waivers:
Cotchery vs. Jags Berrian vs. Buf Reggie Williams vs. Jet Isaac Bruce vs. Packers Greg Jennings vs. StL Mike Furrey vs. Min Doug Gabriel vs. Mia 10/3/2006 10:39:55 AM |

pick any....the one with the best matchup. all of those WRs are pretty solid. and how they are still on waivers means your league is either small or the people playing aren't that competitive. 10/3/2006 12:51:58 PM |

I have a lot of players with a bye week this week and I need to pick up a RB. I already have Clinton Portis starting. Free agents that I'm looking at are Ladell Betts and Michael Turner. Betts has looked good so far and I'm thinking of going with him. Is it a bad idea to start two RBs from the same team? I think Betts has the potential to put up decent numbers despite Portis being healthy. 10/3/2006 6:20:55 PM |

ELI Manning vs Washington or BULGER vs Green Bay
and then 1 RB, 1 RB/WR, and 2 More WR from these players (basically 4 including at least 1 RB)
Willis McGahee vs Chicago Frank Gore vs Oakland Anquan Boldin vs Kansas City Joey Galloway vs New Orleans Greg Jennings vs St Louis J. Cotchery vs Jacksonville
And then Defense (Rams or Chiefs) 10/3/2006 11:24:39 PM |

Troy Brown, Michael Clayton or Michael Turner in my WR/RB slot?
I've got Steve Smith, Marques Colston and Mike Furrey at WR--Edge James and Willie Parker at RB.
By the way, I'm 4-0!
I'll be happy when I can put Smith, Furrey and Andre Johnson at WR; Colston at TE and Matt Jones at WR/RB.
I think that'll be a pretty good offense. 10/3/2006 11:31:36 PM |

i got this one
Bulger had one good game this season last week where he had big #s but thats about it. Eli has produced good fantasy #s throughout so far. Plus bank on the fact that NYG will be coming at Washington pretty hard.
Go with Eli, Washington has a good rush D but there secondary has given up some points this year so far. Eli had a rough start last week but ended up throwing his balls off towards the end. He should be able to throw at least 250 yds and at least 2 TDs.
Both QBs will prob have good #s but Eli is prob a more reliable choice
I would prob go with Gore vs Oakland because out of the RBs you listed, he has the best chance of getting good yardage because Oakland sucks
I would then Boldin because he is a solid receiver and will get looks and Cotchery.
Cotchery prob wont get more than about 65 yards but will prob get a TD, he has been pretty consistant this season and Jacksonville's secondary is overrated
Def should be KC vs Arizona, hands down. GB will throw all over STL and it will probably be a high scoring game 10/4/2006 12:36:07 PM |

I agree.
Ok, this may seem off of the wall, and I am putting my status as a "Guru" on the line here, but I really feel like Jennings is going to be a good play this week, as is Cotchery.
Driver is questionable with an injury and Fergueson has a badly sprained foot/ankle and is doubtful, so Jennings is the #1 receiver and will likely be paired with K. Robinson at WR if Driver cant go. He gets a ton of looks from Favre and will be playing at home.
Cotchery is a good play because the Jags will have to throw to win. With Barlow at RB, they will not be able to run. If Coles plays, and it looks like he will, Mathis will take him. This will leave cotchery on thier 2nd CB and will give him the opprotunity to produce. I think he will produce less than 100 yards, and a score, like VOLCOM said earlier.
I worry about Boldin. I am closely following this becasue I also own Boldin in a big $$$ league. They will be playing at home, but Lienart will be starting his first game against a Chiefs team that has to have this game. I am hesitant to start him this week based on this, but its very hard to sit a WR at the quality of Boldin. Feel free to start him, but with the defense and clock controlling ground game of the Chiefs, I dont think he will be very productive. lots of 6 rec 70 yds. No score.
With that in mind, you also have to start the KC defense.
So, I would start:
Eli @ QB Gore @ Oakland (but monitor his status before kickoff) Cotchery @ JAX Jennings v. STL Boldin v. KC (I like Boldin here more than I do McGahee @ CHI)
