i tried some of the cheats tonight... having all the guns is very nice. I did the assault chopper one and was flying around when my game froze. Had to turn off the system at the xbox. The controller was not responding


Still had fun though after it booted back up I forgive you GTA. I ended up getting caught up in the missions. Fun stuff

i will say im enjoying the story. some twists you expect but some come out of nowhere and it just feels like a huge epic movie with gameplay...which is really cool. they did the characters so well...i didnt like the jamaican guy at first but then i started to like him (mainly for saving my ass).

There's some slight issues with pop-in from things that are irrelevant, like grass in some places. But for the most part, the graphics work better than I thought they would after reading several reviews.

i've played this game for hours already, and have only witnessed pop-in once on the 360 version. i did, however, get a disc read error in the middle of an awesome mission (the Perestroika mission with Faustin, if you've played it, you know it)

the only pop-in I saw in that last video is the sign over the road right before he gets to the airport, and I only noticed that because I was looking for it. If it's something I'm only going to see if I really look for it I'm not too worried about it. I'm not going to be like, "I totally thought I was really killing people and going on a high-speed chase until that one sign back there popped in out of thin air. I can no longer suspend my disbelief!"

Quite honestly, I'm skewed towards the 360 about as much as possible without actually being a fanboy. But if I didn't already have either console, it would be a no brainer for me which one I would buy. I'd get the PS3 in a heartbeat.

AFAIK there will be two exclusive 360 mission/episode packs coming out sometime this Fall, of an unspecified size (but rumored to be ~10 hours in length each), for an unspecified price. Beyond that, no one really knows anything. A Rockstar dev has confirmed there will be DLC for the PS3 as well, but there is basically 0 information of what that will consist of, other than trophies and shit for Home. The only sure thing right now are the 360 mission packs.

If you're just buying it for one game, then get the 360. If you're buying it for other reasons...well I guess that's for you to decide. For me, I know I'm gonna get a PS3 at some point for the blu-ray. I think there's already plenty of stuff to do in the regular version of GTA IV to keep you busy for a long while, and I guess I could deal with the lesser online implementation that PSN provides.

I do think the driving camera could use a little work, I wish the camera would turn as you turn the car, basically locked on, rather than stay sationary for a few moments (giving you a view of the side of the car) then turning. I could have avoided countless head on collisions if only the camera would show me where I'm going.

See, normally I would agree with that, but if you've gone this far without buying either system then I just assumed that gaming isn't a huge priority for you. So that being said, I'd get the PS3.
