i mean, i like the show. and will continue watching. And I like some of the campiness, but the twisting the head around thing was horrible, and wasn't even a good effect. And the utter stupidity of Sookie going in and being like "i'm a fang-banger, know any vampires" as opposed to playing it cool and just reading their minds for a while turns me off. I hate stupid characters that aren't there for comedic effect. For ex. I like jason and the sheriff. Those characters play their half comedic/half serious roles perfect.

i think they're moving at a snails pace. I know it's still early in the season and things are developing, but it's not exactly a long season. The werewolves suck so far in many regards. And they keep hinting at the "who's your master thing" and that will be the bigger conflict most likely. But they need to stop talking about it and start getting on with it.

They did the same thing with Maryanne last season. It was the same thing week in and week out with no real progression and it really turned me off of that plot-line. And they're already going down that path with these werewolves. "They're dangerous", scene of them not being dangerous. "They're dangerous", scene of them not being dangerous. either stfu about them being dangerous, or make them actually pose a real threat.

And now we have loraina back in the picture, who has never been all that interesting to me and she's still beating the same drum: "i'm your maker, bill. And i want you to love me blah blah blah" crap with no progression. same old shit.


the pacing is killing me. I like certain characters in this show, not all of them. I need it to be plot driven to stay interested. Slow, iterative plot-lines are killing this show for me. The only things i'm really interested in so far this season are this vampire that is snooping around Bill's affairs and to some extent Lafayette's involvement with Eric and where that goes. and the queen. I'd like to see more with her. The king of miss. and his pillow biter husband or whatever he is are old news. They sit around and drink/eat the blood of people: cool, they did that with the queen last season or whenever they introduced her. Same old shit/lazy writing. Get on with whatever the guy is plotting. And speaking of lazy writing, if the deal with tara and this new vampire even closely resembles what happened with her and maryanne... i'll just stop watching altogether. I can just go get a mad-libs if i want to see the same plot over and over with slightly different alterations.

i think they're gonna lose a lot of male viewers if they don't "step on the gas", "turn up the volume" or whatever cliche you want use, soon. It's already a very soap-opery show. It's all the more apparent this season.

I had the same complaint on the previous page. Here they are showing Bill trying to rape Lorena, but she still wants him (he was hot as fuck?) and is telling him she loves him throughout. So he twists her head around to be dominate, rape and shame her...yet she's still not budging. During this scene they show an aerial camera view and what do we have? Bill's pants still on extremely tight around the waist. Didn't even loosen his belt or show him loosening his belt. Yeah sure, he can bypass the belt and just stick his penis through the zipper hole (although that seems dangerous). But not putting that one moment in there made me laugh b/c it just seemed like he was dry [hate] humping her.

So yeah...dry raping/hate humping. Pretty lame.

Season 1 was ~1 month long + 2 weeks going by after rene was killed and the dead body show up in andy's car
Season 2 picks up with dead body. Time b4 plus time in Dallas plus time to defeat Maryann = 2 weeks
Season 3 picks up again right where we left off

Baby = rene's

And yes, Lorena is stronger so bill can't actually rape her...but the twisting of the head is meant to symbolize rape. But she loves him, so that's why we're left with bill emo screams at the end of the episode

i just watched the first season 3 eps

i dunno how i feel about it yet. i LOVED season 1. was slightly disappointed but minorly intrigued by season 2...got really yawny though. was kinda hoping season 3 would step it back up. the first episode of season 3 really bored me. but the next 2 were at least entertaining. i mean, its not like i'm going to stop watching the show i just don't feel the same addiction i felt during season 1
