right now i'm rocking scar with bling (holo scope and heart beat sensor). i really miss the marathon perk though. i like to move alot so it was heaven. other than that i'm using hardline pro and jammer.

up until yesterday i was under the impression grenades suck, so i've been using blast shield in their place. but last night i got rocked by grenades at least 3 times, and i think they were stickies so i might give those a shot.

when is the m16 unlocked?

also, i saw someone with a "martyr" title last night. i want it...how do you get it?

I don't camp per say, but I've found 3-4 ideal spots on each map that I like to rotate between

Favela is tough to crack...there are some many balconies and alleyways that I still get confused after 20 or so matches

Yeah I got shitted on in that respect but oh well

I decided last night I would try a map or two on offline split screen just to run around and check it out, try to learn a map or two without the threat of getting killed online

After one match I ended up going to the smallest board (some desert map) and just getting a bunch of kills with one guy while making the other (2nd controller) guy die a bunch

Its amazing how much easier it is to level up when you can get headshots whenever you want

I had the FAMAS with Blue Tiger and I was at like Level 16 (offline) after probably 5 matches

Got to try out the Helicopter Gunner perk as well since 11 kills in a row is a no-brainer when you're using both controllers...pretty cool I suppose...I'd like to try it on a real map online with more than one opposing player

This is going to be quite a dumb question, but do you have to level up to have access to all of the perks for offline multiplayer? Or is there some type of "all modes unlocked" for local play only?

Yeah its a good question, because I think in COD4 they didnt even have offline perks

Basically I'm like level 22 or 25 or something in online play...but when I went to the Split Screen multiplayer I started over...they're completely separate...I couldn't create classes or do challenges or anything at first, and I had the default killstreaks (UAV, Care Package, Predator)...but you will level up and be able to do challenges, setup classes, get titles and emblems, etc

So to sum it up, online multiplayer and offline multiplayer are completely separate as far as classes, perks, levels, etc...but they work the exact same way

About the "camping situation"

Just because you have a good K/D doesnt mean you camp.

The trick to this game, even more so than the last CODs, is positioning. You cant just put on an MP40 and run spraying into the enemy teams spawn point, you need to see where the enemy team is moving, and try to flank them from a position with elevation and cover. Knowing the maps and position of the enemy players is everything.

A common complaint I hear, especially on game-winning killcams, you will see one player shooting an enemy player's ass through a window, and everyone will instantly accuse him of "camping" because he has a good position. Thats just because the killcam lasts for 5 seconds, and everyone assumes the player was just sitting there for 10 minutes.

In reality the player just checked his radar, saw where the enemy team was, sprinted 50 feet, cut through an alley, climbed a ladder, checked his heartbeat sensor, jumped to another rooftop, peeked out a window and killed a guy. Since everyone only sees the last couple seconds of the kill, they just assume he hid in a house the entire match.

Honestly, just because you were not killed by a guy that sprinted towards you out in the open, spraying an SMG from the hip, doesnt mean the killer is a camper.

I for one feel that killcams discorage camping as well, if I get killed by a guy hiding in the bushes in the dark corner, quite obviously camping for anyone running by, for damn sure the first thing I do when I respawn is hunt him down and get that vengeance kill.

One time I made the mistake of killing a guy and right afterwards dropping my tactical insertion, which the guy undoubtably saw on the killcam, and sure enough when I respawned next the guy was just sitting there with his gun pointed at the flare, nothing like spawning in the crosshairs.

That's also my biggest complaint about Free-for-all in Rust, its such a small map its really common to spawn right into someone's crosshairs behind you or across the map or whatever.

'Camping' is a genuine military strategy. If the scenes in MW2 MP were a real war, you'd see soldiers dug in to a safe spot to shoot from.

Blockades are a genuine military strategy too, but they make for shitty videogame play. I'm not a fan of video games that take years to starve out your enemy before you win the first match.

The genuine military strategy to prevent campers is to call in airstrikes and artillery strikes, but unfortunately this game forces you to kill several people before you get to do that. Even after you call these in, the little tin shed the bastard is camping out in somehow manages to protect him from several hundred pounds of incoming explosive ordinance.

Respawning after you die would be the ultimate military strategy, but unfortunately it only works in video games.

I rack up kills on headquarters by running to a spot overlooking a bottleneck or choke point between the enemy and the HQ. Generally players are too concerned with securing the HQ so that they won't actively try to hunt you down.

Had an intense HQ match on Afghanistan last night. Our team ended up with the HQ in the bottom corner of the map where only two paths access it. We secured it, but then had coordinated attacks from two sides that were all made after popping smoke to conceal their advance. It was some legit Black Hawk Down shit. Predator missile strikes almost saved the day on that one.

The bluetooth headset has been pretty good since I got it. I preferred the corded one that came with my box originally, but eventually the cord got a loose connection and it was done

The bluetooth microphone works great. Only drawback is you can't use it while its charging.

Yes, though I realise there are people that literally hide inside 1 room the entire game, they arent the ones going 25-5 in TDM, They are the ones that have under 5 kills and are sitting ducks since the killcam shows everyone where they are hiding.

I think the main problem is that scrubs have to cling onto their excuses and just call everyone a camper rather than say GG.

This guy is playing objectives and camping kills. The game is losing its fun factor big time because of douche bags.
