you can only have your name changed if your name is new, and you haven't posted, apparently the more posts you have under a name, the more difficult/time consuming it is to change your name. I tried to get them to change my original name (kmyoung) because it was my unity ID, but that was what they told me, so I paid $5 and made katyplus, then someone made a thread, made a few jokes about platypus, and pussies etc... then qntmfred thought it would be amusing to change it w/o telling me(I only had like 7 posts to katyplus). he did, then told me he would change it back if I wanted him to, and I told him it was fine.

With this one, I don't think there was anyone with better motive, unlike the cooper case, where it could have been anyone. And then there's the testimony of a gas station clerk.

One thing that stood out, to me, was there were hairs found inside a closet that didn't belong to anyone that belonged in the house. There may have been some other evidence that wasn't explained away, too.

I didn't watch this one every day. Seemed like a fairly circumstantial case, but was pretty reasonable of a story. I don't know how well they proved it, but I think that the first jury was hung speaks to that.

I agree with that. I didn't get caught up in this one either. But I felt like he probably did it. Not sure that it was beyond a reasonable doubt though. I was also bothered that they allowed the day care worker to testify that the daughter reenacted something with dolls. I mean, wasn't she like 2? But the COA did not say that the testimony of a 2 year old couldn't come in so...

There was a lot of suspicious stuff, but I think the state could have done a better job about ruling out some ORLY type evidence, like hairs and whatever it was they found. It would have made their case stronger.

Like I said one jury was hung. If the state covered their bases, its possible a verdict would have been easy, despite it being a circumstantial case.

The number of weird factors seemed like its probably not good for him, unlike the cooper trial where it is certainly possible, but there really wasn't dick all to back that theory up.

Anyone else notice the good ole' boy DA Colon Willoughby " conveniently" decide not to run for reelection and leave his position early post haste before this outcome and the Duane Deaver case get brought back to spotlight?

Of course its all conspiracy theory talk, but anyone who doesn't think the DA of a county does not know all the shady goings on is either blissfully ignorant or a runner up in the special Olympics.

Colon knew what was going on and jumped ship at the perfect time, nice and state vested. The NC taxpayer will pay for his blind eye to on going fuck ups for a long time.

In my opinion...he did it but the state has yet to fairly present a case beyond a reasonable doubt. They had him on the stand in the first trial and didn't know what to do with him.
