That hummer is not part of the DHS Federal Protective Service that protects federal properties that the hotel worker was fired for taking pictures of, is probably national guard, and is not a new or recent picture

The Navy guy was properly terminated. I go through at least three training sessions a year regarding federal security and social media. Don't try to make a deal out of that firing. The guy should have given it to a news agency if he thought it was news, not posting it on FB like an idiot.

I hate it for the hotel worker but that is pretty standard procedure for disseminating information about your paying guests/customers. The housekeeper probably see all kind of sketchy shit in the rooms and don't upload pics.

I don't think the guy who took pics of the homeland security vans was being a whistleblower. I think that he was just posting a 'lol, look at this zany stuff!!1" tweet.

I also think that if he had taken the pic from a vantage point on the street instead of the hotel parking lot, that would have made a world of difference in terms of his getting fired. It would have been now schmoe taking a pic in a public place instead of an employee taking a pic of clients on private property.

So apparently Gov. Nixon is deeply in bed with the corrupt leader of the police union, who was fired before for falsifying police reports in favor of cops who blatantly murdered 2 men, and the prosecutor they appointed has a history of being VERY pro-cop.

A little conspiratorial, i haven't fact-checked it, but it adds an interesting dimension, and does explain the very combative response by the gov. of Missouri, and their piss-poor communication with the public on this issue.
