how is watching tv in bed unhealthier than on a couch. both seem equally lazy.

Quote :
"Use your bedroom only for sleep and sex. It is best to take work materials, computers and televisions out of the sleeping environment. Use your bed only for sleep and sex to strengthen the association between bed and sleep. If you associate a particular activity or item with anxiety about sleeping, omit it from your bedtime routine. For example, if looking at a bedroom clock makes you anxious about how much time you have before you must get up, move the clock out of sight. Do not engage in activities that cause you anxiety and prevent you from sleeping."

but i don't have a tv in my room. i was going to watch an episode of a show on a computer.

and besides, i sleep with the tv on in my condo because it eliminates anxiety. i live alone and sleep with the with it on because i get scurred. i mean i sleep with it on mute and put the timer on but...i don't know i don't think its like that bad. and i don't have sex in my bedroom very often. and my clock always gives me anxiety but i need it to wake up...i can't have it out of sight because i sleep through alarms it has to be like right next to my head.

i guess i'm pretty unhealthy pooooor me!

Call me fucked up if you want, but I sleep better when I don't make a habit of watching TV in bed. If I had my way I wouldn't have one in the bedroom.

i guess i technically don't watch tv in bed. i sleep with the tv on in bed and that helps me sleep better because i have anxiety about being alone. and in the dark alone.

i watch movies in bed sometimes. but only sometimes. no tv in bed. i don't even watch that much tv. but i sleep with hgtv on...its the only channel that doesn't have previews for scary movies on it. silence plus dark plus alone gives me more anxiety than a little background noise and some lights. but i get how watching tv like actually having the routine of watching tv before bed could cause sleep problems. i'm just saying falling asleep to it helps me. kinda like falling asleep to music or something. just need some kindof noise

I lost that fight because we have a TV with no other place to put it that it would actually get used. I turn it on when I'm getting dressed or folding laundry, but I try not to have it on when I'm actually in the bed.

And also, if I have been watching more TV in bed than usual, it makes me more prone to falling asleep i the couch while I'm watching something I actually want to stay awake for. Maybe my brain is just more easily conditioned than other people.

i dont think you are fucked up...but i find it laughable that you act like "everyone" knows this, or that people shouldnt do it...just cause you cant doesnt mean others cant...

I didn't mean everyone should not do it. I just meant I thought everyone had heard that it was "bad" for you in that way. I'm really not elitist like that.
