So while offloading laundry into the hamper from the dryer I managed to jam my fingernail full speed into a thin bit of plastic on the hamper which went into the quick under the nail about 1/5 the way down on one side.

speaking of being taken to the cleaners, I'm getting charged $30 for my shirt tailoring. I was thinking a simple tailor job like that would run me $10-15

what did you have done to your shirt? I am getting my tail hemmed up and my sleeves shortened. They said two alterations cost more

Lee's is very reasonable. Depends on how much you had taken in I'm sure.

I had two inches on each side of my dress taken in at Lee's and it was $30. that's plenty reasonable.

yeah I went to Lee's at the mall. I really dont have any clue how much tailoring costs, so I could be getting a good deal and not know.

I got a suit jacket tailored a couple years ago and it cost $15 to shorten the tail a little. Shortening the tail and arms is $25, then the dry cleaning is $4.50

you're not getting ripped off

now Kelly got her dress hemmed, a simple HEM, at the place she bought her bridesmaid's dress and they charged her $70. THAT'S ripped off. That was half the price of her dress. If she had gone to Lee's it would've been $10-12 per layer. That's a good deal.
