i got free microdermabrasion stuff from sephora once b/c of all my points or w/e aaaaaand it just kinda felt like a more hardcore st. ives apricot scrub. i did it myself rather than went and had a professional one done obviously but i liked it. my skin is sensitive too so there might be a little redness but i felt super squeaky clean after. i would use it like once a week til i ran out.

gosh i can't imagine a more hardcore st. ives haha

i usually switch off between the regular hardcore one and the sensitive one because my face gets pretty dry

the weather right now SUCKS for my face. i tend to have dry skin but when its all humid and i wear makeup i DEFINITELY get dewy (whereas in non summer months, my skin doesn't really get oily). so i scrub it hardcore but then it just dries it out (in a bad way, like in a peeling way). its a vicious cycle haha.

in other news the pot of ponds moisturizer i bought probably 1.5 years ago is almost gone. i love the pot o' lotion for face. it lasts SO long.

I use this:

And it is amazing. I used to be able to get it from Sephora, but they don't carry the brand anymore. I use it twice a week, and follow with their moisturizer. I could immediately see and feel a difference after once use. I actually got it a few years ago, and never got around to trying it, tried it a few weeks ago, and I am never looking back!

i LOVED that neutrogena grapefruit stuff. i need to look for coupons for that stuff. because i loved it but it is like $texas compared to st ives. and it also dried my skin (cause it has the face medicine stuff in it)

i will have to try the st ives face lotion, since i'm about to need new lotion anyway!

one weird thing i did find recently that helps spot treat any pimples that come up is this "zit zapper" pen thing. target has this new line of cheap as shit ($1 - $3) makeup called ELF. i haven't tried any of the actual makeup products (i am assuming based on price that they suck but what do i know) BUT they had this zit pen (looks like a tide pen) for $1 so i figured what the hell. it is just the salylic acid or whatever but it goes on easy and it actually works (or for me it did). i just found it helpful since my skin gets dry then i can use non salylic acid face wash and spot treat any zits. plus i feel like it makes them go away faster.

if you know anyone with a bj's membership, i just buy it there. it's like two huge bottles of it for like 15 bucks or something. its lasted me awhile (the grapefruit stuff)

^^ I've seen very nice Sevens, Luckys and True Religions at my local Plato's Closet in Orlando. $15 to $30 a pop.

Of course, the Plato's Closet in Cary, NC always had a pretty icky selection (worn clothing and odd brands). But if there's a better Plato's close to you, it might be worth it.

Yeah I don't really get why that Plato's sucks so bad in Crossroads. You'd think with all the rich kids in Cary there'd be a decent selection.

^^ yea i've gotten several pairs of designer jeans from Revolver (the consignment shop in Raleigh - used to be in 5 pts now on Glenwood)

i think it was better in 5 points because not as many people knew about it haha

now it is harder to find stuff because i feel like everyone goes and snatches up the good things faster

i just need to check it more frequently than i do (which is not frequently at all)

either that or the styles are kind of out of date. like. i don't want flared jeans (got enough of those) i want skinny jeans. but everyone is wearing their skinny jeans now. get fat and give them to Revolver, people! lol

^ i know. the goodwill in cary has better clothes than plato's closet haha.

Hey y'all (mostly kadwackie)

Swirl has up to 50% off Seven for All Mankind (I'm a huge fan with 6 pairs in my closet) and they really have some cute styles! I know they're expensive, but its rare you find a good sale like this, so get on it.

How should I cut my hair?

or any other recommendations are appreciated. I was also considering dying my hair, but I have no idea what color I would want to dye it :/

i like the first pic best, if your hair is manageable and would stay flippy like that...it looks fun! and of course, you could still flip it in too.

Last 2 pics are the least fav. Last one reminds me of some out of control sideburns, its so tapered to her face.

thanks for the input. I've actually had my hair styled like the first picture before. I think that one is my favorite too, but wasn't sure if I wanted to branch out with something different. I think I would style the last two a little better to not be so.. funky/weird

i think a darker brown would look good on you.

and i think 4 wouldn't be bad, obvs if it wasn't as messy, because the back is not stacked like some of the others. It's a good summer length

"Love Is Art
Making Your Own Sex Art Is Cheaper than You Though

Your last attempt at adding spice in the bedroom included fuzzy handcuffs and a pair of candy panties. Before you engage in another round of Good Cop, Sticky Cop, take note: Love Is Art has a classier way to inject a little oomph.

The Company
Inspired by Yves Klein’s abstract expressionism and Andy Warhol’s performance art, Love Is Art founder Jeremy Brown has hit upon a sophisticated approach to expressing your love. Couples strip down to their birthday suits and roll around in specially formulated black paint while doing the deed. The end result is a graphic work of art that wouldn’t look out of place on a gallery wall. Brown spent months researching materials and, after looking high and low, came across a hypoallergenic cotton canvas and nontoxic pigment that won’t irritate sensitive parts.

The Offer
Love Is Art Kit, $33 (Regularly $60)
You’ll get all the necessary tools to make your mark and clean it up. Show off your best strokes (yup, we said it), and then take your handiwork to the framer to be stretched. When your guests remark on the eye-catching piece, decide whether to fill them in on the sordid details or keep it hush-hush (your parents will be none the wiser)."

Random observation: In my Israeli/Palestinian conflict in film class, we watched a movie on helicopter pilots in the Seven Day War, and the opening and closing scenes of the movie were sex scenes where the pilot and his wife rolled around on sheets in paint. It looked kind of awesome. But definitely wouldn't do it on my own bed/house.

I've been looking around for wedge sandals that weren't god awful tall, with maybe canvas or cotton uppers.

Augh, I love the print, but I LOVE the eyelet lace!! Unfortunately, neither are available at a store near me... sigh!

I'm not about that platform wedge that doesn't go too high...it looks clumpy (almost like a platform flip flop :sick

I need a lil more heel height when you add a platform to the toe area....also that white will get yucky fast

It is RIDICULOUS.
