i could never have brain surgery while i was awake. i mean i know you can't feel it but the sound of drills and saws and suction would totally make me vomit.

i mean i can watch it on someone else but i can't imagine sitting there while you hear someone drill you. and squoosh around in there

I totally understand.

When I had my C-section, I had a spinal that had me so profoundly numb that it even paralyzed my chest muscles. Even though I felt no pain, I could still feel pressure and all of the movement from getting the kiddo out. I came very close to throwing up. I had a nurse waving stuff under my nose to keep me from being sick.
