sorry y'all...I'm just feeling pretty hurt by this situation...someone who I thought I was very close with my whole life basically told me that she didn't think the same of me. Anyone in this situation would be hurt. I may be a horrible person for venting about being hurt and so be it, but I know I'm not the only person that would be feeling the exact same way given the situation.

I became really good friends with someone in the year before I got married. I asked her to be a bridesmaid, she accepted. I was happy.

Something happened (that I won't discuss) and we became acquaintances (barely) in the two months before my wedding. She was in my wedding, she watched my cats during my honeymoon - and I never saw her again. I barely spoke to her after the wedding, and three months after the wedding, we were officially not friends anymore.

Long story short? Being in the wedding doesn't mean jack shit.

being this upset is kind of silly. sawahash, i understand you are very close to this cousin but JUST BECAUSE she is your first cousin, doesn't automatically mean you're included in the bridal party. like the other girls said, be happy and enjoy the wedding. i've been a bridsemaid before - it very easily gets expensive and is time-consuming. and now that i'm in your cousin's shoes and am getting married, i decided the hell with everyone else and i'm only going to have 2 bridesmaids - because honestly - i don't want to deal with shit like this.

My reaction on here last night was a drunk and hormonal vent. There were more things going on that I have been keeping in that kinda steamed out when I let loose the water works last night. So me over reacting on here about that was just the catalyst to let other stresses and feelings out.
All I said to her was "Cool, I'm just happy to be included on your day"
I am very happy for my cousin and I will support her every step of the way. Was I hurt that she didn't ask me, yes I was...am I going to be a bitch to her because of that, absolutely not. If she asks me to do something I will be excited to do it and I will do it with a smile on my face. I think her fiance is a great guy and I think they are going to have a wonderful life together. I love my cousin, she is the closest I have to a sister and the last thing I want to do is make anything about her planning process or that day bad.

how quick are they over there? I know some folks who have had work done on their car. I would do it myself, but the oil filter is impossible to get off (even tried using several different kinds of oil filter wrenches). The only way we have ever gotten it off is using the screwdriver method (jamming it in there to get some lever/handle action), and even after only hand tightening the new one, it was still stuck beyond mortal removal the next time we tried. Since then, I have just taken it places, but the place I used to go moved all the way out to wake forest, and it makes no sense to go that far to save a few bucks - also, not going to jiffy lube again

^i *think* justin's taken his truck there before and they've been pretty fast. I would always take mine to the guys at the North Hills Exxon. It's an hour. I would drop it off and walk over to Target or REI. If I really wasn't in a hurry, I'd go watch a movie. we've also taken our cars to wal-mart, but only on Sunday when the Exxon was closed.

Ugh this morning sucked. First I get up and can't find my keys for 20 minutes. Then I start driving to work and realize my gas gauge is on E, which on my car means YOU ARE ABOUT TO BREAK DOWN. And then I DID break down one block from the gas station Luckily highway patrol appeared out of nowhere within a minute of me breaking down to give me enough gas to get to the station. I seriously don't know how they got there so fast. They're like the Superman for broken down cars So then, knowing I'm already going to be late for work, I decide fuck it I'll stop at the Starbucks next to the gas station to get breakfast. And the entire staff they had working there this morning must have been high because they were moving slow as fuck and screwed up the orders of pretty much everyone in line, including myself
