I have it (Lost Planet)... Bought it the day it came out (just happened to be at best buy that day) and I think it's a great game. The story line is a little cheesy but the action is great. Very good looking game IMO. That should mean something coming from someone that is not usually a huge fan of these types of games.

I downloaded the free demo of Lost Planet from xbox live... It's not that great...

It's a 3rd person shooter. The aiming system is a new changeup from what I have been used to (Takes a minute to get used to), but it just isn't as good as the advertisements make it to be, in my opinion. The graphics, movements, & GRAPPLE THING are awesome, but not enough to make it a must have. The guns definitely left something to be desired. Try the demo for free, if you can, before you think about buying. Gears is a better purchase, and even then I'm not a HUGE fan of that either I'm just waiting for Halo 3 pretty much.

^See I think the third person shooter is why I liked it more than some others. I haven't played Gears so I can't compare it to that but I thought overall it's a good game. I don't know if I would even call it "must have" though. Those are big words to fill.

cod3 pwns all even though it glitches here and there tho, and the map pack they just put out has to be fixed. it is like a hybrid of counter strike and halo. one thing tho, the maps have a huge learning curve. i know that sounds crazy but a lot of people get a bad taste for this game when they fire it up expecting to jump right in shooting up some shit but end up dying repeatedly (i mean TONS) especially on the smaller maps and are clueless to where the shots are coming from. i almost gave this game up that is how difficult it is to get used to, but once you get used to it you will be amazed how you an your crew can work together. i would say cod3 is a must have for the online gamer. i highly recommend it.

having played only the demo, I liked the graphics of Lost planet a lot, but the controls aren't as good as GoW. In my opinion, GoW is the best 3rd person shooter ever.

Yeah I had a prob with CoD 3 when I first started... the maps were confusing & the weapons aren't like other futuristic shooters I'm used to... but since I got used to the maps and sniping I always have ~25+ kills and ~3 deaths I'm always either sniping or saving lives as a medic (Which is always fun)

I think it is a must have for multiplayer, The team dynamic is amazing!

i am more hooked on it more than i ever was hooked to halo. i see nothing out now or anytime soon that will take my attention from this game. i have watched videos of gow, and while that is not actually feeling the game by playing it, i can say from what i have seen, i don't think it can even come close to the chaos and fun that is in cod3 once you get used to it.

I do like Heavy Assault too... setting up that fucking gun and mowing down 3-5 guys in about 2 seconds is always fun. I just hate missing out on calling airstrikes as a sniper

i play rainbow six more than any other video game i've played in the last couple years but i have yet to play a minute of the single player mission. i got hooked on the multiplayer demo and bought it for that. lately though i've been having a problem with it freezing in the middle of a match. it usually happens in a the middle of a fire fight and everything will lock up and my controller will keep rumbling. i don't know if it's the xbox or the game. i played a bunch of gears of war single player yesterday and didn't have a problem.
anyone got an idea what's up?
it's really embarrassing because i was getting pretty good and i was invited to join a group or clan or whatever it's called. anyway the last 3 matches i've played with them it froze up with like 5 minutes left in the match.

Crackdown is very fun. Too bad the first time I played it I was more geared at getting super fast and strong and it cut the game short because I hit level 2. Managed to beat a few of the boss guys and get to level 3 my first play through.

^Yeah, the double dunk is definitely interesting. Adds a little more strategy to how you play. Plus, I like the ability to steal your opponent's Gamebreaker and doing one of your own.

The whole CAP system looks very interesting. I just hope the added moves don't get too complicated, but I don't think it will. The animations look great. I just wish it would come out at the All-Star Break rather than February 20.

Tonight, my friend is bringing Lost Planet, Smackdown vs. Raw 07, and I think Gears of War over to the crib, so I'll finally have some games to play for the system.

Whats the average turnaround time for getting a 360 back if you send it off for them? I just called and they said they send you a pre-paid UPS label and a box...box up your console, ship it back...repair usually takes about 2 days then the ship back
