Hmmm....This is real interesting and I think really no one knows what's going on right now.

Rick Barnes....Every close source says something different.

But one thing is true....would radio head or a journalist for a newspaper really fabricate a close source? I don't think so...which states something is being talked about.

Final thought....Guys I think Ricky B is staying Austin. Too nice of a house. His Son is a rising Senior at UT. He's been in the ACC. Only thing State offers that Texas can't match is big name tradition aka tobacco road. But honestly, Rick's been in the final four, NCAA and Elite 8 and Sweet 16 more than State's tradition in the past 15 years.

OK. I feel good about the source but of course its not done until its done.

Hear is what I have been told:

Barnes has verbally accepted the offer to coach for NC State. There will be an announcement tonight or tomorrow morning. He also mentioned that he was en route to Raleigh but I am unclear about the details on that as I did not go into in any more with him. The source is close to the university and new a day before Herb left that he would be leaving for ASU.

Take this for what its worth but in my mind I believe Barnes is a done deal to come to Raleigh.

Apparently we will know 100% very soon....

^^Exactly, why would he hold 1 press conference to leave and 1 to come? Just tell Texas and then come here and make the announcement. He may have made this decision yesterday and just needed time with his family and his team.
